Safe! Accurate
For a compact benchtop band saw, this one really delivers more than I expected—especially at this price point. It’s a great option for small workshops, DIY projects, or anyone getting into woodworking without investing in a full-size machine. Assembly was pretty straightforward, and once set up, it runs smoothly with minimal vibration. The size is perfect for a workbench, and it doesn’t take up a ton of space. Despite being compact, it has enough power to handle light to medium cuts without struggling. It does best with smaller stock and detail work. With the right blade and proper setup, you can get clean, accurate cuts. Like most tools in this range, a little fine-tuning (blade alignment, tension, etc.) goes a long way in improving performance. Pros: • Great value for the price • Compact size—perfect for small workshops • Smooth operation with minimal vibration • Good for light to medium woodworking tasks • Easy to assemble and set up • Ideal for beginners and hobbyists Cons: • Not powerful enough for heavy-duty or thick hardwoods • Stock blade may need upgrading for best results • Fence and adjustments can require fine-tuning • Smaller cutting capacity compared to full-size models Overall: This is a solid entry-level band saw that punches above its weight. It’s perfect for hobbyists, DIYers, or anyone with limited space who still wants a reliable tool. With a little setup and possibly a blade upgrade, it performs really well for everyday woodworking tasks.

Great Band Saw
Easy to assemble. Easy to relocate. Definitely easy to use for a first-timer! The blade cuts smooth as butter. The guide is a nice bonus. I am new to using a band saw and I found it easier to go freehand. The cuts are smooth and it's easy to glide the material across the plate. There is just a 9" space between the base and the blade. Not intended for huge projects but perfect for smaller ones. There's plenty of uses for this machine. I definitely recommend getting the dust bag. For obvious reasons, it's messy. Definitely a great purchase for my craft projects and some home redecorating.

Great saw at reasonable price
Got this for my husband. Met his expectations, easy to assemble, makes beautiful cuts and has had a bunch of new options to his project creations. Very reasonably priced with great customer service if/when questions arise. We're very happy with this purchase.

Easy assembly, shipped safely, seems like a nice little bandsaw.
This is just a setup review, with some basic dimensions, as I think others have covered the unit's performance. I will update if the bandsaw fails to perform well. The bandsaw came mostly assembled, with the only permanent item not installed being the table. Installing the table was straightforward, following the instructions. I also had to set the table to 90° from the blade. This adjustment wasnt hard, but it would have been easier had Wen welded the nut inside of the frame. As it was, I had to hold the inside nut in place while adjusting, less user friendly. The bandsaw is approx 28.25 inches tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the tension knob at the top, 15.5 inches deep (base only, ~20inches if the table overhang at the front is considered), and 6.5 inches wide at the base (total overall width, including both the motor overhang on the right and the table with fence on is ~16 inches). The pre-installed blade is 1/4 inch x 59 and 1/2 inches. The distance from the inside of the blade to the frame (throat depth) is just a fraction over 9 inches, maybe 9 and 1/16. The height of the guide to table is 3 and 9/16 inches. See the photos for other measurements. The saw started up and the blade tracked true on arrival. As with many lower end fences, you should clamp, unclamp, and reclamp the fence to get a more true adjustment, and perhaps measure if the cut is critical. Or, use a different tool, bandsaws are not generally the correct tool for long, perfectly straight cuts. There is a little more play in the miter gauge than I would prefer, but I'd say it perform as expected for a saw in this price range (and probably within 1° or so of true). Also, the degrees are printed on a sticker on the miter gauge, so let's not get too picky here. I would call it a little loose, but not sloppy. Again, if you need a super precise miter, choose a miter or radial arm saw. I laughed out loud and the little joke in the manual. Well played, Wen.

Perfect saw for light duty cutting
I just received this little band saw. The assembly took about 20 minutes and I was cutting soon after that. I looked at the Ryobi (at Home Depot), the Craftsman at Lowes and the Harbor Freight saws. This one was the least expensive of them all so I was skeptical about taking a chance (the "you get what you pay for" adage usually holds true). I needed to cut some cherry wood or varying thicknesses (1/8" - 3/4") for a jewelry box I am constructing. I am a retired woodworker who previously owned professional-grade power tools and now I was looking for a saw for my tiny basement workshop for occasional use. My assessment? This is a very nice saw with some nice features and it does the job. In fact, I prefer it for small, delicate, work over my 12-inch Delta! It's construction is sound and for the weekend craftsman, it is a steal at this price. I wouldn't recommend it for the serious DIYer who needs to routinely rip 4-inch stock, but for light duty work, it's perfect. Highly recommended.

Great Table-top Bandsaw For The Money.
I wanted a small bandsaw for craft projects. I have an old 14" Craftsman for larger projects. I seen the WEN and thought for the money, the saw would fill my needs without breaking the bank. I could order a stand for an additional amount and have a nice little outfit that I could move around in my shop. The saw is relatively easy to set up. It comes with the blade installed. You only need to mount the saw and install/align the table. Already having a bandsaw, I'll admit I didn't read the directions but instead dug right in. It took me a few tried to realize the adjustment bolt (for leveling the table) has a jam nut underneath hidden behind the wheel. Once I did, it was easy to level the table. I assembled the stand the evening before, so it was easy to mount the saw to the table. Today I cut out some scrap 3/4" stock and attached caster to them. The casters I used were just like the ones found on most desk chairs. The saw is easy to roll out of the way now when not in use. I have cut numerous craft figurines and the saw works as expected. I liked the price of the WEN and it includes a miter gauge and fence, whereas many did not. No this isn't a pro-model. However for a homeowner/DIY'r this saw will satisfy most users. I would recommend it. If you want a larger one, take a look at the 10" WEN with included stand.

Great...with one major exception
I bought this little bandsaw to use as a second bandsaw in my shop. I needed it to cut 1/2" thick cherry into 3/16" strips for my work. I was pleasantly surprised at how well made this tool was assembled, packed, and with one exception, worked. The fence, which I obviously need to cut strips, will not align itself square. Worse than than, it didn't mis-align itself the same way with each subsequent use. If the mis-alignment was consistent, it could be overcome, but it isn't. I called WEN and was told that the fence couldn't be adjusted and I would have to live with it. In other words, it's junk! On the few times it did accidentally align itself correctly, it still didn't cut straight. In a 7" long piece of wood it measures up to .110" difference in width from end to end. I'm an 80 year old woodworker who's been using bandsaws for over 50 years. I know how to set them up and use them. If you need a small bandsaw for cutting circles or freehand template work, I think you'll like this machine. It's very quiet, cuts well, and will do the job for you. If you need it for precise straight line cutting, as I do, look elsewhere.
