Manhattan Toy Nursing Nina Nurturing Cat Stuffed Animal with Plush Kittens,Orange,25.4cm

I don't normally write reviews but this is such a lovely toy I felt I had to! I got this for my 18 month old as she is breastfed and loves cats so thought she could relate to it - I wasn't wrong! She absolutely loves this toy more than any she's had. I think it's a great price for a toy that has endless play value. It's a good size for little hands, the kittens are all a good size too and all separate so can be played with alone or as part of the set. The magnets are strong so they 'latch on' really well. It is also a very educational toy - my eldest has become interested in which animals breastfeed, so the topic of mammals and non mammals have come up. All in all it's a wonderful, soft, cute, educational toy that I'm sure we will keep in the family forever! Delivery was faster than expected too.

I bought this to give to my daughter for her 2nd birthday and although she hasn't received it yet I am very pleased with it. It is very well made and very cute. I know it will teach her about nuture and will be educational. Each kitten is a different colour and they 'attach' to their mum with a magnet so they can 'drink their milk' It is smaller than what I was expecting but I still give it top marks and totally recommend it. :-) March 4th update - well my daughter simply loves "sleepy meow" and is never without her now. At first she didn't show much interest but I am so happy that I kept showing her the cats. We sing longs together with the cat & kittens such as '3 little kittens'. My only negative thing to say is that although my daughter lover her cats she always says that the mum cat looks sad (no huni, she's just sleeping...) :-)

My niece is 7 years old and I worried slightly that she may have been a little old for this gift. Apparently not! My sister told me she plays with it none stop and has become one of her favorite ever toys. Everyone else who has seen it has also fallen in love with such a simple, yet endearing toy of a nursing mum cat and her feeding kittens. It just shows that a well thought out and imaginative toy has no age limits - its there to be enjoyed and loved by anyone. This is definitely one of my Toy Top Buys and is highly recommended.

My 4 & 5 year old daughters can not get enough of these cute little cuddly animals!*! I bought the cat and the sheep (they chose the 1 they wanted) after my girls wanting the Puppy Suprise dogs, which in my opinion are horrid and so expensive after seeing them in the shop...there is no comparison!*! I am so glad I found these!*! They are so soft and the babies suckle on mummy by magnets making them really simple to use...they haven't put them down for the last 2 days even to go out to tea and going to bed!*! Favourite toys so far!*! And they were bigger than I expected!*!

This cat is much smaller than we expected. We thought it’d be cat sized but it’s actually much smaller and the kittens are quite tiny. Perfect for demonstrating and normalising breastfeeding. She is so loved by our 4 year old. The magnets are really strong and she enjoys attaching the kittens to all things metal....

Bought this for my daughters first birthday, I was attracted to the you initially due to the nursing feature, as my daughter regularly insists I breastfeed her toys I thought she would enjoy this. I did think the price was a little high but now that it has arrived I think it was worth every penny. The quality is outstanding and I'm sure this will be a cherished toy for years to come and it promotes breastfeeding so we are very happy!

So cute and well made. The children absolutley love playing with this after doing the literacy it is linked to. The magnetic links between nursing kittens and mother cat work really well. (Allow a couple of days to straighten the cat's whiskers before you show them to the children as they can be bent out of shape which looks strange) Well spent money

I love this. Really nice quality and strong magnets that work so the kittens latch on just as depicted. Wish was cheaper and I would buy more for gifts. Great way to promote mammary gland using mammals in the normalising of breastfeeding to young and open minded children. Would be great gift to a nursery or school.

Nursing Nina Our sweet little great niece, Nora, just turned five. She wanted NURSING NINA so badly -- even though she owns two real dogs, she wanted this cat and her nursing kittens! When she reached into her gift bag and pulled it out, NINA automatically became the hit of Nora's birthday party! Made very well, this cat and her kittens will receive plenty of love from your little one. If you wished, you could answer any of their questions about animals/humans nursing their young. When we asked Nora what the kittens were doing, she looked at us as if we were nuts and said THEY ARE EATING DINNER! This toy is made very well. The kittens connect with magnets which are securely embedded inside each cat so they may attach to NINA. Both mama and her three little kittens are soft, durable, and probably will have washing directions attached; I did not think to look at any washing directions when the gift was in my possession. There is also a NURSING NANA dog with her three little puppies that is also available. This toy is cute as the dickens and can help any questions your kids may throw at you! Very cool gift for your special little girl!

Es perfecta! De tamaño prácticamente real. Muy blandita y suave. Incluye mamá gata y sus 3 gatitos (uno de cada color) muy graciosos. Vienen con sistema de imanes para poder enganchar a los gatitos en los pezones de la mamá y quedan bastante sujetos. Lo compramos como regalo para una niña de 3 años y ha quedado súper contenta y no se despega de ella porque es su mascota. Muy recomendable para niños que no tienen o no pueden tener mascota porque quedan encantados. La única pega que es un poco cara aunque está tan bien que vale la pena comprarlo. Y que los imanes de la mamá gata se acaban juntando con el uso y los bigotes alguno que otro terminan cayéndose. Súper recomendable. Ya han pasado 3 años y sigo encantada con la compra! Mi sobrina ha jugado muchísimo con ella y todavía la conserva. Se ha ido deteriorando (se le han caído bigotes, los imanes se movieron y están casi todos juntos. Nada que no se solucione con un poco más de cuidado o unos arreglitos. Sigue conservando el encanto del primer día y de seguro que cuando sea madre la compraré de nuevo. Es preciosa. Os la recomiendo! He vuelto a comprarla, esta vez para otra sobrina y es igual de bonita! Pero ahora la mamá gata ya no trae bigotes. Me gustaba más con ellos a pesar de que con el uso se le acaben estropeando o cayendo.

Aggiornamento 2020: è piaciuto così tanto, sia a me che alla bimba, che ne ho ordinato un altro appena ha cominciato a dare i primi segni di usura, per non rimanere senza in caso di smarrimento / rottura, o per avere un sostituto se bisogna metterlo a lavare. Sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa nel notare che la nuova versione è senza baffi di filo, che mi sembravano un po' pericolosi per una bimba piccola. Così ora ne ha una versione coi baffi, che può usare da più grande, visto che le piacciono perché le fanno il solletico, e una senza, più appropriata per il periodo in cui mettono tutto in bocca. E se uno preferisce i baffi, farli mettere da una nonna che sa cucire non dovrebbe essere difficile! Molto carino e educativo, la bimba ha già capito cosa rappresenta e quando lo vede fa il segno del latte. Il tessuto è di quel tipo di vellutino che non attira troppo i pelucchi, ottima cosa dato che abbiamo molti animali domestici. La mia bimba di un anno ha la fissa per i gatti(quelli veri) , ogni volta che ne vede uno cerca di acchiapparlo e tirargli i baffi, ma loro ovviamente scappano o reagiscono male e perciò purtroppo, finché non sarà abbastanza grande per coccolarli senza fargli male, dovremo tenerli separati. Questo giocattolo le da dei babaccetti a forma di gatto con cui può giocare senza rischi di mangiare del pelo o di prendersi una graffiata. I gattini si attaccano alla mamma tramite delle calamite cucite appena sotto il tessuto, e la mamma gatta ha dei cerchietti di tessuto rosa che rappresentano i capezzoli. Gli unici 2 difetti che ho riscontrato finora sono: 1) uno dei magneti nei capezzoli deve essere stato messo al contrario, perché invece di attaccarsi al gattino lo "respinge" e il gattino rimane attaccato leggermente sfalsato rispetto al cerchio rosa (v. Foto) Un difetto minore, di cui la bambina di certo non si accorgerà o non le importerà niente, quindi non metto meno stelle né faccio il reso per una piccolezza simile. 2)Un altro piccolo difetto di progettazione è che il peluche è molto molle e ha poca imbottitura, e quindi il rivestimento esterno è molto "mobile", al punto che ogni tanto i capezzoli di mamma gatta si attaccano l'uno all'altro, con dei risultati esteticamente molto strani(v. Altra foto). Nessuno di questi piccoli difetti pregiudica il funzionamento del giocattolo, quindi metto comunque 5 stelle.
