Amazing speakers
I decided to trust Logitech for my 20 quid budget speakers. Was not disappointed at all. These speakers can go full volume without the sound being distorted (Although I wouldn't recommend you having it all the way up all the time, they might break). They are only 10W but if you want them for personal use in your room and you are not too obsessed with ultra high volumes, they should do more than fine. The volume knob is pretty clear and easy to use and the bass knob is the same, even if it is a bit "Hidden" on the side of the speaker. The bass is not spectacular but should accomodate you just fine if you're not deep into the "Heavy bass dubstep or whatever uses bass" music. I mean, even then, it will be fine, just don't expect something extreme. The fact that these speakers are bigger than the average cheap 10w 2.0 speakers helps a lot on the sound output. I had cheap speakers before, but all of them were small and the sound was struggling at high volumes. This one is clear in every volume.Although I haven't used the headphones output and the AUX input, they seems like big commodities for people that like to play around with their gear. You can plug headphones and other devices like mobile phones and MP3s anytime and play whatever you want. All in all, great speakers for the price tag that have nothing to fear from ones of higher price tag.

tldr
I bought this pair of Logitech speakers because my old Logitech ones got knocked out of the window so many times by my cats, they eventually stopped working, but they stood up to 4 years of this abuse, which is pretty impressive. So, initially I wasn't very impressed with these speakers. I plugged my phone in, put my favourite music on and got started on the housework.Very quickly I noticed a problem. I could still hear myself singing along. Nobody wants to hear that, believe me.So, it seemed the speakers weren't very loud. Shame, because they look quite nice. Then one day, I misplaced my phone, (a common occurrence) so I plugged the speakers into my laptop, cranked the volume up and hit "play". At that point, my ear drums exploded. My phone obviously isn't the best way to drown myself out.So, in the end it turns out that these are pretty good little speakers. Good price too. They've already been knocked out of the window a couple of times, so we'll see how long they last.I would definitely buy these again. And now for the short version. This is a pretty good pair of speakers, but the are only as good as the thing they're plugged into.

About as low as you should go
Logitech peripherals and accessories are always excellent compared to similarly priced offerings from competitors. These Logitech speakers are exactly what you pay for. As per usual, you get good build quality and an attractive, ergonomic design. They look incredibly good, they feel good and are made to a high standard. The power switch/ volume wheel is good quality with a nice feeling to it. The sound quality is 6/10, obviously it's not going to be amazing but for general use speakers with your computer for listening to music, watching videos and gaming, they will be just fine. Don't expect anything amazing. They go nice and loud and sound ok, not amazing but not bad. Tinny and gutless is not a way to describe the sound from these speakers. It's clear and bassy?

These speakers are pretty good for the price
These speakers are pretty good for the price, they have very nice sound quality and look very good on the desk. They have a good amount of bass with a little adjustable slider on the side to control the bass levels. The only problem I have is with the wire that plugs into the TV, its not the best as when it is turned a certain way the speakers start to do a loud humming noise, this is fixed by simply rotating the cable. Other than this issue the speakers are pretty good.~{UPDATE}~Ever since moving the cable after hearing the humming noise i haven't had it since so the speakers are functioning really well. I have played a few games with them and I can say the sound is amazing for the cost of these speakers.

PC speaker.
Well a bit of a disappointment, they are an improvement on the basic pc speaker, but only just..stereo is good.. they look good, but the sound is thin,no fullness at all, bass is just about detectable if you use the tone control but only just...plug earphones in and things become just acceptable...I had an older set of Logitech pc speakers that had a good bass and full sound, the bass was too much really, i had hoped these would be a little less, but no, they are a lot less, from one extreme to the other... Looks like iv'e got to spend a bit more to get a fuller sound....Another reviewer here says they are bass heavy, well each to his own i think, even placed close to the rear wall i can hardly hear any bass at all, i'm not a bass freak but i do like a little warmth.........Update, have since acquired a pair of Bose speakers, what a difference, of course they cost a lot more, but bliss at last.

Surprisingly good
cheap and cheerful: sounds much better than I was expecting for the price but it is Logitech so that was par for the course.Got this to add some decent sound to a small 22 inch TV in a bedroom - for that it is excellent. It also is fairly small and easy to get the speakers out of the way unlike most soundbars which are about 600mm long and far too big for the TV and the room. This is obviously not HiFi , and you wouldn't expect that for 26 quid, but the sound balance is pretty good and I have had no listening fatigue.
