Very Good Value for money works perfect

I purchased this so I could use my Iphone 5s with my Soundcast Outcast and it seems to do the job very well. For me there are a couple of negatives. 1) I would much prefer this to be powered by the internal battery of the speaker. As the Outcast has such an excellent battery it is a shame that it cannot simply plug straight in. 2) Price. For what it does it is very expensive. The reality is that you probably don't need it. There are very few situations where you could not run a cable from your music source to the speaker. I am basically paying for the luxury of keeping my phone in my pocket rather than running a short cable. Nice gimmick! I had no issue with range. It worked as advertised. I would however point out that since I purchased it I have used the speaker on many occasions but only used this transmitter once which was when it first arrived to try it out. I am not sure this is an essential item but performs exactly as advertised.

Works great as a rechargeable bluetooth module, strong signal and plugs perfectly into a soundcast speaker. I have an apapter to plug this into (via a cable) the standard soundcast speaker broadcaster thing to get stereo out of two speakers, and a usb battery (like for smart phones) to power them outdoors. Can connect to a phone and get CD quality stereo in the garden etc via spotify or whatever.

its awesome, works flawlessly, can now stream direct from any device to the soundcast. The unit does need to be recharged with a micro-usb charger (supplied), but has very low power usage; I haven't pushed it to the max, so not sure how many hrs it would last.

I bought this, charged it, and paired it with my iPhone 5s and my ipad mini running iOS 6. It played music well on both devices when they were within 1 foot of my outcast jr with the bluecast recieier. When even 2 feet away music is intermittent. 3 and 4 feet away connection is lost. I'm very unhappy with this product and feel duped. While the outcast jr is great. I'm very displeased with the bluecast receiver. I called sound cast and they suggested that there was interference. I don't think so. I sent this unit back. It was a pre opened item. I saved 5 bucks on. They sent me a brand new one. It's working very well and I'm very pleased with it. It works as advertised up to 30 feet away. Therefore I'm changing my review. I do feel the item is a bit expensive and wonder if cheaper units would work as well. Update: After having this item for a while I'd like to uodate. It worked well about 8 times. Now the volume will not go above a very low level. I'm very disappointed with this very expensive add on.

Works good, wish the charge lasted longer.
