Yes, it froths cold milk very well so could be used for cold chocolate milk etc. It is an excellent product. Takes about 30 seconds of pumping to get the milk to the really frothy stage. **Q: how big is it?** A: Hi apolgies for the delay in responding, the frother is 5.5 inches / 14cm (not inc the lid) with lid 7.5 inches / 19cm tall and width is 5 inches / 13.5 cm, it holds nearly 2 standard mugs, I use mine alot.
