How much money do you need to spend to make great coffee such as americano, latte, cappuccino. The answer is, under £40. I use an Aeropress to make the coffee & the Judge frother to make the milk. Neither use electricity or technology, are both very well made, unlikely to break down but cheap to replace if there's a problem. And take up very little space in the kitchen. As you would expect from the Judge brand, the pot is extremely well made, looks great & is supported by their legendary long life warranty. But does it work? Yes it certainly does. Great froth in seconds, from warm or cold milk, & controllable for making a latte or cappuccino. But such a versatile pot too which can be used to make a variety of things including sauces & usable on hobs. Really easy to clean down afterwards as well. I'm glad I took a lot of time to research the various frothing solutions out there. There are certainly hi-tech versions which do a great job but they're much more expensive and, like any tech product, prone to breakdown. The Judge frother provides measurably better overall value for money over any other solution available.

Oh yes, this is GGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!! I was all for buying one of those that do everything themselves (ie heat and froth) but then I read the reviews and thought at this price it's well worth the risk, and, wow, I couldn't be happier! This is helping me make some great latte's with my Tassimo. I can't stand the sweetness of the included milk, so I wanted an easy and effective way to froth and heat milk. I've found it to take about 5 minutes to heat the milk on my ceramic hob (position 5 of 6 on the small ring). I've not used anything to stir it with, just swirled the milk around a bit as it's heating and it's not burnt on the bottom once. ***MIGHT I STRONGLY SUGGEST*** using a milk thermometer? I bought one at the same time (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000Y9NRMA/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_24) and it's perfect. Let the milk reach 65 degrees C, and pop the top on and plunge a few times or so. You do need to make sure the frother comes out of the milk on the up stroke, but before very long and with very little effort, you have a lovely frothy milk for lattes and cappuccinos. The froth is nice and tight, and it lasts!!!! I'm made up by this purchase, and as it's Judge, you are getting real quality.

Good product for stovetop heating milk a frothing for cappuccino coffee.

I use a Bialetti Stovetop (we have 3 different sizes) to make coffee and I use this to produce slightly frothed milk for a cappuccino, macchiato or latte. Depending on the quality of the milk, you can produce excellent and tasty froth. Moreover you can vary the exact number of pumps to produce slightly thinner or thicker froth depending on your preferences or your mood. For example, sometimes I prefer a froth that is more like 'steamed' milk, that is, not too frothy. This is easy to do by reducing the number of pumps. Other times, I prefer lighter and frothier milk, which is easily achieved by increasing the number of pumps. That said, the frother is not equivalent to the milk frother/steamer attachment on a good quality espresso machine (one of which my parents own). Nevertheless, I've this frother is much easier to keep clean than a normal espresso machine's frother. We pop it into the dishwasher and it comes out sparkly and ready to use. I tend to rinse the mesh immediately after using it and the milk comes off easily. Initially, I was surprised by the size of the frother: it seemed quite large. That said, it produces a small amount of froth for one, or more for 2-4 people (which again makes it better to deal with than an small espresso machine's frother which may not make decent froth for more than one person at a time depending on its machine's boiler). The jug also makes a useful kitchen addition for sauces, e.g. hot chocolate sauce for ice cream, gravy or cheese sauce. I have used it to prepare these sauces and used it for family meals as a functional warming jug rather than worrying about decanting into something better looking. As with the milk, it washes easily in the dishwasher afterward. The only problem with I have encountered is that when I pump the frother the lid gets quite hot and difficult to keep firmly on the jug. I simply hold it with a cloth when I pump, though I wish there were a little thumb-space's worth of silicon to keep the lid on while I pumped so I could refrain from worrying about a cloth. All in all, a good product that I'd recommend to most who wish to make decent froth for coffees or other hot drinks.

Great product, does the job, good quality. No issues with handle melting over heat as shown in another review, and I’m using on gas hob. Easy to clean. So far so good

I bought this in mid July and the handle already melted. It is a good jug and the bottom is thick and suitable for all hobs and froths the milk well, but the handle is a let down and a health and safety hazard. I would like a replacement from the seller please.

Great little pot, use it a lot more than I originally thought. Don't overfill or the foam will escape. I warm up a bit of milk on my gas stove, sadly small size means it wobbles even on the smallest burner, but would be ok on induction. I do not put the lid on so I can watch my milk plus the frothing insert is plastic so don't want it heating too much. As someone already stated the lid gets hot, holding it with a cloth is annoying so I invested in a silicone cup cover and cut out a hole at the top. That way the plunger can go up and down and i save my fingers

I purchased this milk frother because I was fed up of the Bodum frothers which smash too easily (4 down!) I wish I had bought this frother sooner. It produces excellent results every time. It looks smart, heats quickly on the hob and cleans perfectly in the dishwasher. It is robust and built to last and for that reason alone trumps the Bodum frother which is made of the thinnest glass possible and breaks too easily. I have found the best way to get very frothy results is to pump cold milk (I use skimmed) before putting the frother on the hob. This frother is the business; it is very well priced, produces excellent results and is built to last. If you want frothy milk, buy this!

This is the best milk frother we have ever used! You can warm up your milk on electrical or gas stove and than froth your milk. Depending on the amount of milk used, temperature of the milk and the lenght of frothing, you will get different type of froth - after some practice you will learn which froth you like the most. This milk frother from Judge is so good, that we have already bought it to my mom (great coffee lover) and are buying the next one to my mother-in-law. It fell down on a floor already few times and - nothing has happened! It is a really good product that produces a froth exactly like the one you can get in Starbucks alike coffee places :)

Der Milchschäumer ist qualitativ hochwertig verarbeitet und fühlt sich auch dementsprechend an. Die Handhabung ist super einfach und das Ergebnis vom perfektem Milchschaum ist mehr als überzeugend. He comprado este espumador después de leer buenas opiniones. Ya tenía el de Bialetti antes y este es mejor y más barato. Puedes ponerlo directamente en tu estufa. Es muy fácil para limpiar. La calidad de la espuma es excelente, muy cremoso, mejor que de nuestra maquina de café profesional. Lo recomendó 100%!

J'ai longtemps hésité avant d'acheter cet objet. J'avais peur que ce ne soit pas très efficace. Ben en fait, c'est juste super! Une mousse super épaisse, bien meilleure qu'au resto, un vrai gout de lait, j'adore. Et puis l'entretien est grés facile. Et le tout à l'air bien solide. Je l'utilise depuis plusieurs semaines et il est comme neuf. Je suis donc ravie de mon achat!
