A large plastic bag covered the case and it was enclosed in the cardboard box by polystyrene corners for added protection. The case is beautiful, classy and very easily manoeuvred on either all four wheels or just two. Wheels are solid, silent and move very freely. The handle extends and retracts smoothly, looking and feeling very sturdy. The good quality interior lining is finished to a high standard and the central zips allowing interior case inspection lack tabs increasing concealment. The exterior zip moves easily around the case. I love all the extras, especially the webbing band with an additional id slot. However, I am not convinced that the luggage tag is genuine leather; it looks, feels and smells very strongly of plastic, as does its strap. Similarly, the handle covers lack any feel, or odour, of leather but this doesn't detract from the smart quality look of this luggage. Setting the lock should not be a problem as it is clearly explained on desertcart as the accompanying literature is not in English. It is generally of an impressive quality as one would expect at this price. The huge issue for me is that I use the train fairly frequently (UK) and it's slightly too large for the overhead shelves. This is problematic because it's too big to sit in the isle or near your legs.
