Barska Colorado Spotting Scopes with Tripod for Hunting Bird Wathcing Target Shooting

The Barsks30-90x90 is a terrific scope. We purchased the scope for the purpose of viewing animal wildlife on our waterfront property and it has exceeded our expectation in this regard. Our only unhappiness (and we have expressed this to Barska through customer service and have received no answer - and therefore will never buy another Barska product because of the disrespect they have show us) with this product was that the pamphlet for both the scope and the tripod, were for a different scope and tripod model. We have asked for the correct pamphlets to be sent to us, with no reply. As much as we love this scope, Barska has lost a customer.

This is a great scope at a very reasonable price. I tested it once on the shooting range and it performed superbly. Very clear view close and far. I could see holes from .223 on white paper at 100 yards on black or white part of the target. Unfortunately I could not see any holes in the orange bulls eye, but that could just be my marksmanship. I could see very clearly at over 500 yards, which is as far as that particular range extends where my view was blocked by a side of the hill. I could see holes on a splatter targets about 300 feet away. Do you realize it comes with a tripod at this price? Really nice tripod, too. Tripod and scope are very light and relatively compact. They each fit into their own zippered bag. I am pleased with this purchase, I see no faults with this scope or tripod.

The sighting scope is 5 star product. Haven't tested at range yet, but test in my foothills location awesome. Visual pulls in tight and clear with no doubt of hits down range, and future field hits. One fault only its not water proof.

Using it for the range. At 50 yards it's decent ( but who really needs a spotting scope at 50 yards for shooting. At 100 yards it's just good enough to see .30 cal bullet holes in paper. After 100 yards it's totally useless. I tried it on all the variable power settings at it won't clear up enough to see holes on paper past 100 at any magnification. I still like some of barskas stuff, but at least this spotting scope is no good. Figured I'd try it due to price point. Will spend more next time.
