Pretty good
This unit arrived promptly, as I've come to expect from Amazon. Like a lot of other people, my main reason for purchasing is to try and cut tobacco out of my daily life and I use this in combination with an ejuice vape. The product contains a small, rectangular oven in the bottom, a magnetic plastic flap allows easy access to this. Personally I've not had any issues cleaning it, but it's still quite new so time will tell how that goes. The oven is of a decent enough size, I believe I read a review suggesting around 0.3g which is probably about right. You'll need a grinder to get the best out of packing. The unit is very lightweight and once you've packed the oven, press down on the mouthpiece to switch it on, wait for the purple light to stop flashing and turn green, then draw on the mouthpiece. It's advisable to take small draws (as suggested in the tips) and allow a little time between draws. The mouthpiece can get hot if you take a long draw, like smoking down to the cardboard so it's best not to.The hit is clean and fruity, probably depending on your mix and the resulting mindset feels somehow unpolluted due to having no tobacco. From my experience this is a smokeless/cloudless affair, which also makes it particularly discreet for use, especially given the number of ecigs and mods out there today, this easily blends into that category without drawing any unwanted attention. I think you could take this anywhere and fire it up without any concern for being caught by having wafts of pungent stench following you around. I did see one review that mentioned huge clouds so maybe I'm just doing it wrong.Due to the fact that it's smokeless it doesn't give me the throat hit I seem to need to get off the cigs, which is why I combine it with my other ejuice vape. I'm hoping that with the combination of the two I can finally be rid of tobacco. The charger seems to be less stable in my opinion. Rather than have the standard microUSB port in the device somewhere for charging, there's a little rectangular dongle that you plug your microUSB charger into and this then rests on the back of the device in a very precarious manner. I found it best to lay this on the table and put the thing on top of it but even then, with a thick USB cable that maybe has a bend or two, you'll need to check the unit is charging before you step away. There seems to be no real 'clip' to this connector and as it's halfway up the back (approximately where the round led light is that you can see in the picture but on the other side), I would say if anything could be improved, this would be a good place to start.I filled out my lifetime warranty, which it should be noted, makes you accept marketing emails. I queried this with the Crater people who gave me 3 reasons why this was not required:1) You can unsubscribe at any time with one click2) They have never sent any marketing emails to any warranty users3) As sellers they have the right to contact the buyers, with or without this conditionThat only left me more perplexed as to why you'd make the selection of marketing emails compulsory for the warranty when you can give 3 perfectly good reasons you don't need it. Whatever the case, if you fill out the online warranty, you MUST accept marketing emails in order to complete the process.Overall I'm hopeful that I can finally put the nail in the coffin for using tobacco before it sends me to my coffin from smoking it.

maybe the next one will add a proper button on the damn thing
positives:1) very good and accurate gyroscope controls. goes idle if stationary, activates back right away in a split second once touched again.2) heats up very fast.3) some very good vape quality.4) nicely provided pipe cleaners and wipes.5) pretty good size and design. the led light is pretty slick. i like the stainless steel look more than i thought i would.6) so far, some quite decent battery life out of the thing7) the bottom of the device is a good design. the little magnet cover feels pretty good.8) the "shake to show battery life" seemed at first as a dumb f-ing idea. but it has literally worked for me 100% of the time and takes half a second to do. well freakin played Crater engineers on that one.negatives:1) bad button design/power controls. has one button and you have to press down the plastic MOUTHpiece hard to do so. unhygienic and not comfortable to use...2) cannot be used while charging. (not a completely rubbish battery so not TOO bad of a negative.3) the provided charging pad could be better design but at least it is tiny.4) the user guide very clearly states to stir and pat down the material in the chamber, but they don't provide a small, plastic 'pick' or 'pat down' tool to do so. a small plastic tool costs basically nothing to make and is a very nice touch if provided and damn useful for the customer to actually operate the item as intended...5) no provided plug and they give you the smallest f-ing usb cable i have ever seen.what is does well, it does really freaking great.but the negatives are really lame to live with :(

Discreet, solid bit of kit!
Literally just received my Deluxe and must say, on first impressions I am very impressed. The packaging was pretty much spot on. A few of the accessories had moved around a bit but everything was intact and how it should be. The unit itself is a very classy, discreet looking device. Haven't actually had chance to run any ingredients through it yet because it's currently on charge. It had power in it already but I wanted to make sure it was topped up nicely before first use. The device appears to be very easy to use if you take your time to read the instructions properly. I was a bit confused about the temperature settings until I realised you had to allow the Deluxe to heat until the led was showing green. Like I said, read the instructions properly and you won't have an issue. One thing I will mention is that the charging dock is a little finicky. The contacts are spring loaded and magnetic but the Deluxe doesn't appear to sit flat. This isn't causing an issue at the moment, it's just a little fiddly to get the contacts in the right place for the charger to work. It is something that Crater could look at improving buy in all honesty, I don't think it's a huge deal. As with everything, time will tell how it holds up but first impressions are positive and I would definitely recommend the Crater Deluxe.

Second vape I tried as my first one was one of my friends. He has an older version and different brand and I wasn't so impressed. With this one obviously expected to be much better as it is more expensive from my friends and newer generation vape which I find really good, the only thing which bothers me a bit is that sometimes the device is getting to hot and is a little bit uncomfortable to hold it always and also burned my lips few times.it would be nice they added a secondary vaping lid, longer one maybe and last thing I noticed is that the actual led indicator u can notice the edge of the plastic that they used so the led light doesn't glow in the same order of the logo design, from one side it glows well from the other side is not so bright, or maybe its just mine like that I don't know .in conclusion great device very portable but has few drawbacks' which if the gave a little bit of effort in the details it would have bein perfect. Unfortunately I have to give 4 stars for that.
