Excellent quality plates, perfect for air quality and DIY testing
I used these agar petri dishes for an environmental testing project, and they performed flawlessly. The plates arrived perfectly sealed, clean, and completely sterile with no signs of contamination. The agar thickness is consistent across all dishes, providing a great medium for growth. The included mold identification guide is an excellent bonus it's highly detailed and makes interpreting the results much easier. Highly recommend this kit for anyone doing home air quality checks, school projects or basic mycological work!

Product works and support is timely
Product arrived as expected. Only negative was the instructions did not include testing for airborne mold. However, a great positive is that this company has a qr code for FREE assistance. I used this free service both for instructions on airborne testing and then to help me analyze my results. They helped me identify my test growths and offered information on how this spore might affect our health, cause of growth, and how to remediate. Overall I was happy with the product and the support. Following are the instructions for airborne testing.... Yes, the PDA Petri dish can definitely be used to detect airborne mold spores in your home using the 'settling method.' In fact, you just need to follow the idea of 'exposing it to the air' to make it work. ๐ก Core method: Plate settling method Technically, this method is called the 'plate settling method.' It is based on the principle that airborne mold spores naturally settle by gravity. If they land on PDA โ a culture medium specifically designed for mold growth โ they will germinate and grow under suitable temperature and humidity conditions, eventually forming visible colonies. By counting these colonies, we can roughly estimate the concentration of mold spores in the air. At the selected location, open the Petri dish lid and leave it exposed for 30 minutes. During this period, keep doors and windows closed, and avoid walking, sweeping, using fans, or any other activities that disturb air circulation. โก๏ธ This is the key step that replaces swab sampling. Sealing and incubation After exposure, close the lid and seal the dish tightly with plastic wrap to prevent spore dispersion. Place the dish upside down in a suitable roomโtemperature environment, and incubate it away from light for 5โ7 days, observing daily.

Clean and Easy to use
Iโve been using these for mushrooms cultivation. They work great. Very clean and easy to see contaminants before ruining a grain jar.

Good dishes. A bit pricey, but for the careful packaging it's worth it.
Decent dishes. No contam originating from the plates as far as I can tell. A bit pricey but they got the job done when just starting out and we're incredibly well packed. Like 3 vacuum sealed bags layered over eachother. So I commend them for that. Im sure they've contributed to a few kids sparked interest in biology and science. And that seems to be their goal. Keep them upside down and sealed once the seal is broken if refrigerated and not used right away.

Good dishes
Good Petri dishes. 10 dish were in a sterile sealed bag. I only poured 9 because I never made enough agar but I got no contamination while pouring inside a SAB. Would love to be able to order in bulk.

4 silver dollars high. Not very big
I really do wish they would stop using camera angles to enhance their product.
