Moisturizing and gentle
Have been using this product for years on my dry, rash prone skin. One of the only products I have ever found that leaves my skin fully moisturized without smelling like a chemical factory. The body lotion is good too.

A Modern Mans Body Wash
Hereโs how I came upon Alaffia. Honestly, it was the distinctive graphic design on the bottle. Then the sale price at Whole Foods in a big bottle of shampoo. Bought the 32oz bottle of coconut shampoo at Whole Foods. Didnโt work out for my hair and wasnโt too hot on the fragrance. Instead of tossing the bottle, I started using the remaining shampoo as a body wash. I started to notice some big differences in my skin within a few days...no more dry skin, dry feet, or body breakouts from acne. All of this a big deal since I have very sensitive and reactive skin.Decided to buy the lavender body wash to try. I bought the kids lemon/lavender 16oz bottle and used the entire thing up. I LOVED IT. Ultra moisturizing, clears up body acne, and smells great. No lingering fragrance on the skin but makes your bathroom smell like a natural spa or a Aveda salon. Also, fights and neutralizes the funk. We have three men in our house from 17 years old to 52 years old, so we know funk. I feel good knowing that my 17 year old is using a product that naturally treats his teenage funk. But the big shocker to me with the body wash was this...the main ingredient is Neem. If Neem is new to you, do some research on it. I learned all about it from a botanical tour years ago at ECHO in Fort Myers, Florida. I actually bought three Neems plants from their plant nursery after the tour because I was so astounded with the power of the plant; used all over the world, and used especially in developing/third world countries for medicinal purposes where medical care is slim to none.I could go on and on... instead do some light internet research in your own if youโre on the fence with this. Youโll be amazed what Neem can do and even more amazed that you have a 16oz/32oz (depending on the size you buy) bottle of it for a little over $10.(In my opinion, The quality of the main ingredient and the price are reason enough to buy...hands down. Check out other neem based products being sold at Whole Foods and youโll find they are all triple or quadruple the cost.)Second reason to believe & buy: the company, what they stand for, fair trade, and the empowerment of women. Supporting rural African communities and made by those communities under strict ethical stands for quality of living and wage.I feel good knowing that Iโm using a โcleanโ (purity of ingredients) product that is produced ethically and which supports its workforceBuy it. Try it. Youโll buy it again.

Great product!
Really like this body wash. Really no smell to it though. Good to my, reactive, skin. Not drying or itchy.

Nice!
This soap smells good. It's got a light lavendar scent. It leaves no residue. Leaves the skin feeling soft and clean. Just wish it was a little bit thicker.

Great body wash with natural ingredients.
We have used this Alaffia product for years and really like how well it cleans without fragrances or artificial ingredients. We decided to purchase it at Amazon because it is not alway in stock in local stores. One of 4 containers leaked a small amount during shipping but otherwise the product arrived intact. The price was similar to what we paid locally.

Long-lasting, all around dependable soap for babies
We have been using this to bathe my son (13 months) for about 6 months now, and it has been wonderful. There's nothing particularly spectacular about the suds or the smell, but it's just an all-around reliable soap for my son. It doesn't seem to burn his eyes much, if at all, when the suds run in his face. He has a good neutral scent after his bath, and it helps keep his skin from drying out. I do put coconut oil in the bath after I was him, but not a lot, so that helps with his skin not drying out. This may not be the most helpful review, but I feel like it says something that I want to buy the lavender version for myself because I think it's such a good value for how long it lasts.

Found it
I love it! I finally found a body wash I like. It smells nice but not to strong, and is not runny like Weleda in the US.

From 7 natural ingredients to 19, including synthetic additives and preservatives.
I have extremely sensitive skin and have relied exclusively on this body wash for over eight years, using it as a body soap, face wash, and hand soap. One of the main reasons I was so loyal to this product was its simple, natural formulation, which never irritated or dried my skin. Unfortunately, Iโve noticed multiple formula changes over the years - each resulting in a noticeable decline in quality. What was once a clean, nourishing product has become drying and dehydrating, prompting me to search for an alternative. The ingredient list has expanded from just seven simple ingredients to nineteen, including synthetic additives and preservatives that were never part of the original formula. Itโs disappointing to see such a significant shift, especially when the product imagery hasnโt even been updated to reflect these changes. As a Washington state resident, Iโve always wanted to support this local brand and continue purchasing this soap. However, it appears that product integrity has been compromised in favor of increased profit margins. I would gladly pay a higher price for the original, pure formulation rather than continue purchasing a product that no longer meets its original standards. For reference, here is the original ingredient list:1. Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Berry Aqueous Extract2. Saponified Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil3. Lauryl Glucoside4. Decyl Glucoside5. Sodium Chloride6. Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Extract7. Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) WaterAnd here is the current formulation:1. Aqua/Water/Eau2. Potassium Cocoate3. Decyl Glucoside4. Lauryl Glucoside5. Sodium Chloride6. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride7. Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract8. Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water9. Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Fruit Extract10. Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract11. Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract12. Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract13. Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract14. Dipteryx Odorata Seed Extract15. Ethylhexylglycerin16. Sodium Phytate17. Phenoxyethanol18. Potassium Hydroxide19. Citric AcidI was once one of your most loyal advocates and recommended this product to everyone I knew. Sadly, I can no longer endorse it and am now sharing my disappointment with others who valued the same purity and effectiveness. This is a missed opportunity not only for your loyal customers and the communities your company supports but also for your long-term brand reputation. I sincerely hope you reconsider the direction youโre taking with this product line.***** ALAFFIA DELETED THIS IDENTICAL REVIEW FROM THEIR WEBSITE ***** It actually never appeared. I think they just automatically filter out the really negative reviews. Alaffia, you just keep disappointing me. Alaffia is acting like they have sold out to a private equity group focused on profit over quality.

Amazing product
I love this brands natural product line. The way this lathers without the use of harmful ingredients makes me feel more like the product is working well compared to some other natural cleansers that do not bubble up at all. The passion fruit scent is intoxicating (in a good way). The pump is a great idea as some of their other caps are more difficult to open in the shower.

Wonderful body wash and good as hand wash also
Love this for my skin. I used to get dry skin every winter but now using this my skin and hands are not dry anymore. Have tried heaps of different products in the past but this washes well, leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft and doesn't have a strong smell. What more could you ask for.The only negative is that I struggle to get it on its own instead of in the pack with the body lotion.A little goes a long way with this as it's nice and thick.

Ingredients Changed
This used to be a great body wash for us, unfortunately the product ingredients changed. My wife is not allergic to the new ingredients. Which honestly is sad for us because this was one of the few she was good with.
