M-Audio Axiom AIR Mini 32 - Portable USB MIDI Keyboard Controller with Drum Pads, 32 Mini Keys and Software Including ProTools | First M-Audio Edition

I watched a fair few YouTube videos on the available budget midi keyboards and settled on this because it had the extra keys, (32 instead of 25 on most mini keyboards) and has the hyper control knobs, transport controls and drum pads.Looks good on my desk too and is 39.5 x 19 cm.The keys themselves are pretty small but they have a nice spring to them and are velocity sensitive for expressive playing. To be fair though I am not a piano player and have basic keyboard skills. What I do need is to be able to bang out a little melody and that is what mini midi keyboards are for, and then clean up the sloppy mess in software.The software is where the real value of the AIR mini shines though as you get a full licence of Ignite Air which is a really easy and deceptively powerful to use music creation software which I can let my 7 year old loose on and create a tune on their own. The Axiom maps perfectly with all the knobs and hyper control features working.You also get Ableton Live 9 Lite which also maps the controller knobs as it has built in support, but it is however rather lite and I personally bought a license to Ableton Live 10 Intro within days of using it as I was so impressed with how the DAW works.The one aspect of the Axiom which I find myself using less than expected is the Pads as its just easier to draw in some drums or even use the gazillions of free loops, but I think you can map the pads to launch clips in Ableton so I'm sure they will still get some use.As a tip if you want to use a studio microphone and guitar (I use the Rocksmith USB cable) I suggest downloading ASIO4ALL before looking into audio interfaces as it is free and works fine on my Windows 10 PC.

Well, I've been using this controller for about a month now. What I have to say is don't buy this controller solely for pads (very tricky to play on them properly, I need to push them on sides otherwise it's too hard and I can't concentrate on proper rhythm) . Keyboard is springy and alright I guess for that size. This whole hyper-something thing for for me very well in ableton, you can do a lot of stuff actually. Overall, for 60quids and brand new it's 4/5 for me. Works, ableton live lite was very good addition . Buy thinking about using it as a Daw controller than controller for drums or keyboard

I love the fact that i can carry this around with me, only downside is not from the seller’s point of view but from the company itself that created this keyboard. There are no drivers set up for this so hypercontrol does not work with other DAWs or any other softwares except for ignite and ableton. It’s difficult to record a track one by one by pressing the computer mouse or shortcuts intead of pressing the button on the controller. Same goes for adjusting the sounds and effects. The pads are great though but a tip to get the best performance of the pads and the device itself with other softwares like reaper, cubase, pro tools, fl studio etc. Is to always have Asio4all installed. This helps alot if you experience any delay in sound just select asio4all as your main Input in audio settings. Overall i think it’s a good controller and it means well. Only downside is the buttons really don’t help at all with other softwares so before you buy this make sure you aren’t just a beginner and you know how to work DAWs or you will suffer at first trying to figure out how to make this thing work then eventually find out the buttons will not work with softwares other than ignite or ableton as it does not have a driver. Plug and play. Loved the sound though and the feel as for having small hands. Kudos to m-audio.

Works well, Easy to set up .power to the Axiom AIR Mini 32 is via the Usb cable in to the Laptop Or Pc Tower.all the software is provided one via a disc in the box,And one you need to set up a account Online,and install via the internet,once this one is installed you can then Play the Axiom AIR Mini 32,However,Turn off your tower or laptop remove your Axiom for it all to be installed correctly.then attach the Unit turn you kit on then it will all work as it should.Ignite: is the online software allows you to play the Unit,and puts it in real time on your screen,Disc :Live 8 update's to Live 9.This is the studio maker Allows you to bring all your sounds together and Burn to disc or to Pen,and have a extensive library sounds, effects, tracks, behind you to use in line with your Music.It's only Limit is you.Well worth the money and Hrs of playing and making tunes.

Plastic quality is not that good it may broke if fell down but apart from that this is osm performance features everything good and yes hyper control doesn't support to cubase 8 and onwards only upto cubase 7

Ottimo prodotto, comprato appena prima del lockdown di Marzo utilizzata prevalentemente per registrare, i tasti rispondono a dovere e i pad sono decisamente sensibili alla pressione. Io la utilizzo principalmente con la funzione di cambio di ottave ma concede molte altre funzionalità. Con il prodotto è stato fornito anche un software dedicato per suonare direttamente senza bisogno di registrare. Da ricerche fatte pare sia utilizzata anche in ambito professionale

Deberían mejorar el embajale ya que la caja llegó muy deteriorada, supongo que fue por el proceso aduanal pero de cualquier manera deberian poner el producto dentro de otra caja mas resistente para evitar el deterioro de la caja original, a algunos nos gusta guardar las cosas dentro de su caja original mientras no lo usamos

This is my second M-Audio, I love this keyboard as it fits my fingers and it has on board controls so I dont have to use a mouse typing keyboard and music keyboard all at once. Its programmable which I like. The body is sturdy and the keys have great tension. The drum pads are so cool I love them! I use this with Logic Pro X which recognized this immediately. I am a musician and I don't think this is mediocre at all, M-Audio makes quality products and this one is no different. Reputable stores sell this keyboard so you know it has to be good. What I do wish it had is an off/on switch instead of having to reach around the back of my computer to unplug it. Over all tho, I am very happy with this purchase.I would very much recommend this especially if you have small hands and dont care for a full sized keyboard.

きれいな品物が届きました。とても満足しております。この製品、付属のProtoolのインストールに手間取りました。音楽ソフトやPCにくわしくないとまず直面する壁でしょうね。結局Protoolは使わず、他のソフトで使っていますが、HyperControlのおかげで楽しませていただいております。ファームウェアを更新しましたが、大変よくフリーズします。インジケータがちょっとくらいかな。当方ライブなどは行うことはないのでまぁ、いいんですけど。ただ、フェイスはとてもカッコいいです。49鍵のキーボードにしては大変大きく感じますが、かなり軽いと思います。
