Beautiful, strong, well-made rosary. I think they are perfect for both men and women: they are larger in size that many, but that's an advantage to me. They may be a little bulky for some to carry in a small pocket, but the fact that they are made with cord rather than steel chain means they will not catch in clothing. Some have commented that the crucifix is rather too large and chunky, but this is one of my favourite things about them. For me, they are very comfortable to hold and pray with. The materials used are beautiful and the beads develop a lovly patina with use. The beads are different tones and colours, are oval in shape, and feel smooth in the hand. They are light to hold: mine weigh 31g. The crucifix is 6cm in height, the beads are 1 cm in height. The set of beads measure 51cm from the bottom of the crucifix to the top of the chain of beads. I think they would also be good for those who may have reduced dexterity in their hands. They are very good value and would recommend them and buy them again. They come in black velour pouch with a drawstring closure.

A very nice rosary, beautiful in its simplicity. I’ve had several of the gemstone and beaded ones and could never quite get on with them. They felt awkward to use - either too slippy or heavy and awkward and the wired ones would eventually come apart. Some were just downright uninspiring. As a last resort I decided to come completely away from my usual choice and try out one of these wooden ones which I’ve never used before, in the hopes I might find it more practical. I have not been disappointed and think I may have finally made the right choice. Not only is it light and easy to use but it’s aesthetically pleasing in its simplicity and robustness. I love the larger cross, made of a nice lacquered olive wood, with brass Jesus and brass double faced medal. I think the cord is stronger too than your typical wired ones. It is of a good quality and well made and the oval shape of the beads runs through your fingers nicely. This will get good use now and I expect it to last me a long time. Slightly lighter wood than is pictured, the outdoors photo on the slate is more true to colour and the beads vary in shade which breaks up the monotony. The crucifix is a more medium colour which goes well with the brass figure of our Lord and it feels nice and chunky to hold. Personally I prefer a larger cross. I’m very pleased with my purchase and for the price it’s very well made. Comes presented in a cute old fashioned ‘money bag’ style, velvet pouch with a velvet drawstring. Personally, I love it.

Excellent quality, sturdy and strong. Comes with a nice drawstring bag to keep it in. A lovely size to hold. I absolutely love it. It is the 2nd one I have ordered. As I misplaced the first one.

This is a well made, solidly constructed rosary. It looks like a tool for the work of prayer and is splendid to hold. There is a Franciscan simplicity the workmanship and look. One caveat, the cord holding the crucifix to the beads is very very thin, this may be a weak point, which would be sad, because otherwise it seems made for years of recitation.
