The best of the bunch
I never really got into the original CSI series and I've never been quite sure why. I think part of the reason is that the characters just didn't hit the right cords with me. I enjoyed watching bits of CSI Miami as I found the characters much more likeable but at the same time I could take it or leave it and wouldn't class myself as a `fan' as such. CSI New York on the other hand sucked me right in from the first episode I watched. I've always been a Gary Sinise fan but after snatching one or two episodes on tv I got straight on the internet and ordered CSI New York Seasons 1 and 2. I wasn't disappointed. The characters in CSI New York all work together and form for me the perfect team. While they are portrayed as friends and colleagues it's done in such a way that it feels natural....unlike in CSI and CSI Miami where I felt the relationships were always a bit forced. Likewise the storylines in CSI New York range from subtle to outlandish but they all just seem to work together somehow. All in all I think CSI New York is the best of the bunch and that's in no small part due to the starring of Gary Sinise as Mac Taylor. Pairing him with Melina Kanakaredes (Stella), Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny), Vanessa Ferlito (Aiden), Hill Harper (Sheldon Hawkes) and Eddie Cahill (Don Flack) didn't do the series any harm either.

Best of the CSI shows in my opinion.
Great to see this show again. Followed it on TV untill the channels started changing the time slot, then missed a lot due to work. Great to be able to watch it when I want & without add breaks. Will continue to collect them.

Best of all the CSI series
If you can put up with frequent poor acting from Melina Kanakaredes (she doesn't do Bad Cop well), this series is the best that was ever made of the CSI's.

CSI New York 1
It took me a while to "get into" the New York characters.I couldn't see why the makers needed to come up with a third city and at first couldn't take to them at all but I persevered and I'm glad I did. The series is very enjoyable and I now have series 2 - I think that speaks for itself.I particularly like the character Mac, played by Gary Sinise, especially as I enjoyed his performance in Apollo 13 and couldn't begin to see how he would work in another CSI. I also like the way the series dealt with 9/11 by having Mac deal with losing his wife in the towers - in puts New York in context right up to present dayWell done Gary (and all the cast and writers)Pam Conrads

Good Down Time Viewing
The reason why I ordered this was to watch something on TV for my "down time" at the end of the day - with no advertisements and it really serve the purpose. You are introduced to the characters and pretty soon work out the "pecking order". Loved it and as soon as I'd watched all of them, I went on to order Season 2.

Crime
The first season was disappointing. It was good but me and my friend just finished watching CSI Las Vegas which we loved enormously and it was very different from it. The stories were all connected and we were not sure if we become big fans as we are of CSI Las Vegas. Luckily for us, the second season cought us and we are hooked now.
