However, I would openly admit that the first part of the book is filled with things that most people picking up the book would and should know and a lot of it could easily be discarded. I did find that the bit about how to properly make your smoothies terribly interesting and made me realise that I had been going about making my smoothies wrong the entire time. Aside from that, most of the information was information I was already aware of and knew so admittedly, I skimmed through the first part. The second part, the recipes, is split into different types of smoothies. Starting with beginner smoothie recipes and following it with breakfast smoothies, super green smoothies, smoothies for weight, detox and cleansing, smoothies for disgestive health, smoothies for healthy skin and hair, green energy, low-fat smoothies, and green smoothies kids will love. As someone who loves getting their hands on recipes to try, having 100 of these at my disposal is like a haven for me. I absolutely love how simple the recipes seem and the only problem I have is that there aren’t any pictures to show love absolutely gorgeous the smoothies can come out. Overall, the book is a good coffee table book or a nice read over when having a cup of tea/coffee or need a new drink for a meal or snack. It has moments where it’s too draggy and not informative enough.

Great smoothie book!
I really want to eat more fruits and veggies. I feel better when I do but making salads takes a lot of time. Plus I noticed that smoothies fill me up more than salads. Purchasing this smoothie book was quite promising and turned out to be a great buy. The book answers common questions about smoothies. It provides tips on storing fruits and vegetables which is very helpful. There is also a very helpful recipe for fruit wash – to clean wax and residue. When I got through introduction to actual recipes – wow! Lots of recipes for really healthy and tasty stuff. There are smoothies for beginners, for breakfast, for detoxing, digestive health, healthy skin and other. I couldn’t wait to get to the kitchen and make a smoothie from this book. If you want to “go green” in your diet – definitely buy this book.

Smoothies
Unlike most of the other health-conscious recipe books I've read, this one really focuses on just smoothies, which means that the book is a lot more versatile in what kind of health benefits it offers. Each chapter has a different purpose, like: energy, digestive health, and even healthier skin and hair. So all of the recipes are for smoothies, as you probably guessed from the title and the cover, but that just means that the book can be more varied in where you can use it. They're not just low-calorie or low-whatever either, there's an entire chapter devoted to low-sugar, non-fruit smoothies! And it takes into account for varying tastes, most of the recipes include little tips on how to change how the smoothie tastes while keeping the health benefits.

What a great book about Smoothies!
This is really a great book. I have never tried smoothies but always had an interest and this book starts with the basics, tells you how to get started, and provides great smoothie recipes. There are smoothies for breakfast, weight loss, detoxing, digestive health, smoothies for your skin and hair, energy and even low fat smoothies. It covers every spectrum of enjoying smoothies. Being vegan, this book was so helpful to me in giving me a variety of smoothies to try. I like the fact that you can have veggies and fruit all at the same time as a meal replacement. I recommend this book to newbies as well as people who make smoothies all the time.

This is a great book - am new to the Smoothie world - I find the recipes very exciting - also tells you how to blend them all as well - the measures are in USA cups so had to try and find out what the UK version was - am delighted with this book - am hoping to convert to smoothies every day
