Recommended! Not cooked on it yet, but first impressions very good: well-packed, sturdy materials and assembly guidance mostly easy to follow (and I’m not a DIY enthusiast). Some tips:1. Use sticky labels to identify and lay out all 50 odd- parts, and put the screws, bolts etc (10 different elements) in cups or similar to make it easy to choose the one you need.2. Assembling the fire-box (steps 1-8 in the guide) is best done on a spacious work-surface – no problem to manoeuvre it as needed.3. Parts 7, 9 and 19 (rear firebox panel, warming rack and wheel-axle) are all packed together – easy to miss (especially the axle).4. Make sure you put the two parts 30 (rear firebox panel hinges) the right way up – otherwise the hood won’t stay open.5. It took me ages to get the crank handle for the charcoal tray (part 13) to work properly. I worked out that this is because part 12 (the bracket it goes through) has to be screwed to the back of the front firebox panel (part 6) – probably obvious to anyone else!I’m confident this will be a fine piece of kit, at a reasonable price.

Absolutely love this BBQ! Once I’d finally finished putting it together (I think I now qualify as an IKEA engineer), it’s been nothing short of brilliant.The temperature control is excellent thanks to the adjustable charcoal tray and built-in thermometer, and the smoker function gives food an amazing authentic BBQ flavour. Burgers, steaks, chicken, ribs – everything has come out perfectly. There’s loads of cooking space, so feeding a crowd is no problem, and the folding side shelves are surprisingly handy.Build quality feels solid for the price, it looks great in the garden, and cleaning it afterwards is much easier than I expected.My only warning: allow yourself a couple of hours and maybe a cup of tea (or something stronger) for the assembly. Once it’s built though, you’ll forget all about that the first time you bite into a perfectly smoked rack of ribs.Fantastic value for money. My neighbours now mysteriously appear every time they smell smoke coming over the fence… 5⭐ from me!

However, I was able to reshape it without much trouble, so it didn’t affect the overall experience. Once everything was put together, the grill looked great, was sturdy, and felt very well-constructed. The design is solid, and you can tell that the materials used are durable and built to last.I’ve noticed that some other reviews are very critical of the product, and I do think many of them are a bit unfair. Some complaints were centered around faulty items or people who seemed to struggle with assembly - while those issues are unfortunate, they don’t reflect the quality of the product as a whole. It’s important to give the product a fair shot, follow the instructions carefully, and not jump to conclusions just because of a small issue.A particular point of contention in some of the negative reviews was about the patina that develops on the grill after use. Honestly, this didn’t surprise me at all - it's a metal structure, and when you’re heating it up for grilling, it’s inevitable that it will lose its shiny, new look over time. This is a normal part of the grilling experience and doesn’t affect the functionality at all.I’m planning to use the grill this weekend, and I will update my review after I’ve had a chance to really put it to the test. But so far, I’m excited about the purchase and feel confident in its quality. If you’re on the fence, I wouldn’t let the negative reviews dissuade you. It’s a great product once assembled correctly, and the patina issue isn’t a dealbreaker for me. Looking forward to many successful cookouts!

This takes a bit of time to assemble, but I found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow, with lots of diagrams showing how everything fits together. All the parts were present and clearly identified, and it had been well packaged, so nothing was damaged. If you can put an Ikea cabinet together, you'll be fine. Once constructed it looks great, and feels sturdy and robust.As a BBQ it worked really well. The only thing was that after we had finished cooking the food there was still loads of heat left, and, with the lid closed, the gauge was showing over 250 degrees C. It seemed a shame to let that heat go to waste so my wife put some more food in (a pan of beans that she had been soaking overnight) closed the vents and the chimney and left it. 4 hours later the beans were perfectly cooked with a delicious mild smoky flavour.The 'normal' UK style of BBQ involves cooking over high heat for a short time. This can do that, and does it really well, but the adjustable height of the charcoal tray and degree of control over ventilation means this also works well for long and slow cooking / hot smoking. That's new to me but something this BBQ is really good at so I'm looking forward to experimenting more. We're going to get a lump of brisket and slow cook that next with some apple wood chips added to the coals.

This is a cracking little bbq.It was quite easy to build, the instructions are pretty rubbish but its not rocket science (dependant on what you intend to put in it!) Took me a few hours on a nice sunny day in the summer, no real issues with the assembly.As others have noted this is a sturdy peice of kit. It feels robust and sturdy.The temeprature gauge is a lovely touch and it has ample shelves.I can easily cook for 6 (and have repeatedly) with this bbq, no worries about the capacity for food.I spent a lot of time researching bbqs (sounds sad) and ultimately went with this one, and I'm glad I did! I haven't got any issues with it for the price, has it got all the bells and whistles...no....but does it cost a fortune - no (compared to others) its jusy a good, well designed, sturdy bbq.

Right let me first start by saying this is a genuine review of this BBQ.My son (14) set this up and was dead straight forward to do, the build quality on it is excellent ! I love that they have added a little note with the manual saying to contaact them with any issues you have setting it up.I had 8 friends over a few days ago when the weather was warm and used the Cosmo for the first time and it was an absolute champion and handled all the food we threw at it.All in all, its a great BBQ and would definatly reccomend it to anyone that wants something thats look decent and does a great job, 5 Stars from me all day long.

Really great BBQ for the money. Easy to build I did it myself after a few beers and took maybe 30/40 mins. Used as a BBQ day one and the adjustable coal tray is super handy. Then day two tried out smoking and it proformed much better than expected managed to hold temp really well and gave a great smoke ring on the Ribs. Would 100% recommend for someone wanting to get into BBQing on a budget.
