Leica DISTO D2 – laser distance meter with automatic end-piece detection

Really excellent . . . easy to use and accurate. Not cheap but good value.

if you want a laser measure the measures, works out area, and works out volume then this is it. Easy to use and well made. Reliable, as I use it every day and many times each day I tend to go through batteries about once every 2 weeks using Duracell batteries, but this is heavy usage, I have two of these one in use and one spare, I wouldn't be without it.

This is a great bit of kit, I brought this after my old one finally died. It is very easy to use, has a lot of features, & the Bluetooth connection to the phone & App are very good, and make producing sketches with dimensions very easy.I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new laser distance measure.

I use this to create floor plans in my job managing refurbishment projects for commercial premises.I love the fact it connects to a standalone app that automatically populates floor plans/photos with measurements.The only downside is the Bluetooth occasionally drops and stops communicating with the app and also when creating floor plans with adjoining rooms, the app repositions walls oddly.All in all, a great device and definitely value for money.

Obvious as soon as you use it why it’s not the cheapest.Great quality, Accurate and great features.Only ever have issues where it’s outside and the weathers too bright to see the dot but that’s the same for all products of this type I guess.

This is an great product and easy to use for quick measurements , however the only problem I have is that the supply will not send me with a Vat receipt so I can now not clam the cost of the product back through my company even though I have asked them several times now.Very poor.J Robinson

I’ve not unleashed all of its potential yet (using computer programs) but with the simple to use app on my phone I can quickly draw out a room with accurate dimensions. I’m sure there are good cheaper makes, but I was looking for one to use with an app or computer programs.

I had need of a convenient measuring device, and having prior knowledge of Leica as a professional surveying equipment company, I decided it would be ideal. So when I received it , I messed around with it quite a lot, testing distances that were millimetre perfect at 96m.I applied it to my own project with instant success! No more messing around trying to measure up with a tape going slack, unhooking or bothering people to help me out. The Free Sketch app I downloaded on Google Play, then synched up my phone and the Leica D2 and I was away. The sketching really helped me get perspective of measurements and layout.Very Satisfied!

As a track and field official, often we have to measure the length and height of jumps. This is worth every penny for an accurate measurement in the field. This laser is excellent for anyone who needs accurate measurements.

Un dispositivo de pequeño tamaño (puedo llevarlo siempre en la mochila aunque no tenga previsto usarlo) pero extremadamente potente, que ha sustituido irreversiblemente a mi viejo flexómetro. Su versatilidad y precisión son impresionantes, enormemente potenciadas por la posibilidad de vincularlo al smartphone o tableta y, en combinación con la aplicación adecuada, realizar mediciones al tiempo que dibujo los planos de estado actual a pie de obra.

Ottimo misuratore laser, molto preciso e molto utili sono le funzioni che ha, come per es. le funzioni per calcolare l'area, la funzione pitagora due e tre punti, somma/sottrazione per la somma di aree, funzione "pittore" per il calcolo della superficie totale delle pareti, funzione tracciamento, la distanza minimo/massimo per la misura delle diagonali di una stanza, molto utile, inoltre l'adattatore multifunzione che è quel piccolo sportellino posto nella parte posteriore dello strumento che può ruotare e che consente di allineare rapidamente il misuratore ad un bordo. Purtroppo non è dotato di alcuni accessori come per. es. le piastre segnale (GZM3, GZM26) che ho dovuto comprare a parte e quelle originali Leica costano secondo me un po' troppo (mediamente 30 - 45 € l'una) visto che in fondo sono due pezzi di plastica e che però sono molto utili quando bisogna rilevare la distanza di un bordo. Comunque, tutto sommato, ottimo strumento per rilevare distanze, soprattutto quando si è da soli.
