I originally bought this as a replacement for an adapter for someone else, but I recently transferred it to my own setup. Before I had a $45 usb wifi adapter. It got high wifi speeds and range, but it became extremely unstable after a matter of months. It had a 30% of actually connecting in the first place and a 60% chance of disconnecting, and now the usb cable had to be plugged in a very specific way. This adapter is significantly better. It gets the same speed and range (even more in some positions) without the negatives. From about 70 feet from the router, I get 300mb/s download and 250mb/s upload, which is half of what someone directly next to the router gets.

UGREEN USB WiFi Adapter for Desktop PC Laptop AC1300. This WiFi adapter works great! I've only had it a short time, but so far it has been flawless. I have an old laptop that should have been retired years ago. The ethernet cable plug is broken and I've been struggling to hook up internet. This WiFi adapter connects to the internet without any lag. It comes with a disk to install the necessary driver. I can even use my video editing program. Internet speed is great. I recommend this WiFi adapter. Please see attached picture.

It does a great job once you figure out the instructions. The instructions are not thorough, the website isn't helpful at all. Thankfully I have a decent working knowledge of technology and got it figured out.

I put it up on an older win 11 desktop in a room at the far corner of the house, where the wifi signal is a bit weak and faces interference from the neighbor. I also used an extender cable to raise the height to about 6 feet on the wall. It works great, never crashes and has fantastic speeds. I might need to buy another one, just in case...

Moved to a new house and there was no active cable in the room where I set up my desktop. My daughter suggested trying a WIFI adaptor. The most I push a connection is streaming video/audio. I read that some folks had trouble connecting to their 5G WIFI until they downloaded additional drivers. I am old, and old school, therefore I still have a disc drive on the desktop. I downloaded the drivers off of the included disc, and the adaptor has had no issues connecting to my 5G signal. I am definitely not pushing the WIFI envelope, but I have not had any issues at all. I have purchased quite a few UGREEN products (high speed cables, chargers, etc.) and have never had any issues with their products!

The good: Connection quality. The bad: Connection speed. Reported transmit/receive speeds are 833 mbps. Tested speeds are about 233 mbps, only a quarter of what it should be. For comparison with other devices in the exact same location: my phone connects at 833 and tests at 766 mbps. Another wifi adapter plugin to the same computer: it connects at 433 and tests at 276 mbps. Not sure why other people complain about absence of drivers for download: they are on factory's web site like they should be. And I did not even need to download them. Windows 10 installed the drivers on its own

Works GREAT! Item worked just as stated. Windows 10, plug and play. Was up and going in less than 10 minutes with no hassles.

It solved my Wi-Fi speed problem. It is about 10 times faster than the original adapter that came with the PC.
