The Misto Aluminum Bottle Oil Sprayer Set of 2 offers a 3.2 fl oz capacity reusable aluminum bottle that sprays a fine, even mist without chemical propellants. ## Description

Misto has been used for years by home cooks who like to control the amount of oil they use. The sprayer is designed with the health-conscious cook in mind and is perfect for low fat/high flavor cooking, grilling, sautéing, roasting and basting. Misto is ideal for spraying olive oil on salads, pasta, veggies, breads, pizza, chicken, beef and fish. Buy one for each of your favorite oils; great for vegetable, olive, canola and more. Refill and reuse again and again! Environmental friendly; the non-aerosol sprayer doesn't use chemical propellants, and it's refillable, so no more throwing cans away to end up in landfills. MISTO is BPA-free. Please note, threading the cap on incorrectly allows air to escape and in turn does not allow the bottle to build up pressure to spray.

## Features

- MISTO is a reusable oil spray and mister bottle that gives you the convenience and health benefits of typical aerosol sprayers but in a more healthy, economical and environmental way
- Fill MISTO with your favorite oils, vinegars, lemon and lime juice, sherry, or marsala wine. Great for dressing salads, breads, or cooking
- Easy-to-use pump style cap features a 2-step operation: simply pump the container, then and press the valve on the pressurized sprayer for an even mist
- Environmentally friendly, the non-aerosol sprayer doesn't use chemical propellants, and it's refillable, so no more throwing cans away to end up in landfills.
- International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Has anyone tried using a plastic spray bottle instead? The kind that costs around $2 and has an adjustable nozzle from stream to mist?**
A: YES!! I use a pint size spray bottle, BUT!! You have to add water to the oil to make it spray right. Say, 1/2 cup olive oil with 1/4 cup water. Also, be sure you SHAKE it right before you use it to mix the two. Works for ME!! See my Youtube video: "BEFORE you BUY an oil sprayer, WATCH THIS!!" 720p

**Q: My new Misto does not spray.**
A: Wanted to let you know this for the future also: My first Misto sprayer succumbed to the clogging described by some reviewers and no amount of soaking of the nozzle would fix it so I bought another. No doubt for the first one I read and promptly forgot the washing instructions on the little enclosed leaflet, but I followed them for my clogged sprayer and it was unclogged in less than half a minute: "To clean, fill bottle halfway with hot tap water and add one drop of liquid detergent (I used Dawn). Pump 15 times and then pray for 15 seconds. To rinse, repeat sequence above with fresh hot water. It is recommended you clean your MISTO every 6-8 weeks." There you have it.

**Q: Sprays a mist so fine that most all of it goes up the vent, nothing on pan. Just when it starts to spray something out, pressure is gone. Ideas?**
A: Chill the oil before using it in order to increase the viscosity. You can also temporarily turn off the vent or move the pan away from the cooktop before spraying. The latter suggestion is probably also the safest as atomized oil and open flames or extremely hot surfaces are not a good combination.

**Q: Can it be used for salad dressings such as french, or ranch?**
A: While I didn't try - I would doubt it. It clogged with just olive oil, my guess it would clog with something thicker like salad dressing.
