This raclette was bought for a birthday gift, myself and the recipient was very pleased with it and are looking forward to using it at our next family and friends gathering.

Arrived at the recipients for xmas, in cardboard box with non-stick raclette written on it. Still haven't learnt from last year.....Product slightly scratched from transport on top dish which is non-stick and easily scratch-able, it was on side though, so won't affect use and not worth a return...Sister really liked it even though didn't quite know what it was or how to use it!Had friends round for new years for 1st use, who were impressed and wanted to buy one for family member..SO REVIEW! Gets hot quickly enough, gets quite hot as-well. Didn't use the top plate as we weren't all actually sitting around table, thinking about it, getting 8 people actually around a table would make said table quite big!Melting cheese onto the old ham and spuds worked a treat, everybody loved it, so for those reasons alone I would recommend it.

I've hankered after one of these type of raclette/steak grills for years. We bought this after returning from a recent ski trip where we'd really enjoyed lots of melted cheese and this style of cooking again! We wanted to give it a go at home and this machine definitely doesn't disappoint - we love it!I give it 5 stars, as it heats up well, has plenty of surface area for cooking and cleans up very easily (the top grill comes off for cleaning once it has cooled down). My 7 year old loves using it too and cooking all her own food. It doesn't spit, so is very safe for all the family to use. So far we have cooked cheese, steak and vegetables on it. We have used it with 3 people cooking at a time so far and this works very well. I do think you may struggle to get 8 around it - probably best for 4-6 to use at any one time, even though there are 8 dishes and spatulas provided.Fun and well worth the money.

First experienced this type of cooking at a french friends house a couple of weeks ago - was so taken with it that we thought we had to have one as well.Having prepared the ingredients, it meant that we as a family could all sit down together, cook and eat at the same time - one of us would usually be slaving away over the stove whilst everyone else did their own thing.The grill was so easy to use and behaved exactly as described on the instructions - it smoked a tiny little bit when we first switched it on as whatever coating was on the element burnt off. After that it worked precisely as you would expect. The unit came with 8 little pans meaning that there were two each - this meant that you constantly had one cooking, which worked well. If you have more people round to eat, then one pan each would be sufficient, as we had expereinced first time out with our friends.Can't really comment on how well the thermostat operates as we had it on full power all the time we used it - it cooked the foods ( mainly meat and cheese combos) excellently in the little pans, and kept a large wok of ratatouille bubbling away at the same time, no problem.Cleaning was a doddle, as the wife did it !! She assured me that it was easy to clean the removable grill top and the 'lower deck' ( where the grill pans sit) was just wiped with a damp cloth.Can't recommend the item highly enough - great fun, something different, easy to use, easy to clean, and fab tasting food ( especially the raclette cheese that you can get from Waitrose).

The item was delivered within days and is exactly as described. We bought one before and bought another one for our son as he and his family likes the occasion to use it. It's good for indoor and can be used equally well outdoor when the weather is suitable. It beats a barbecue as they are more sociable, cleaner and less wastefull. In fact you can use them for any food you like, but obviously if you're going to put big items on it slows the whole process down. Raclette cheese can be bought anywhere now but any cheese like Edam or Gouda can be used equally well. After the initial rush when everybody starts the size is ample big enough to keep the food flowing. It's hugely popular with our family and friends and I would recommend it to anyone for a good social with food and drink and children enjoy it very much too.

Love the item and good to have a communal meal with family and friends. Light and easy to carry. Many types of food can be cooked in and ontop of the grill.

Mir fehlt leider die Vergleichsmöglichkeit, da ich bislang nicht im Besitz eines Raclette Grills war. Allerdings wollten wir uns schon lange einen zulegen, da uns die Art der Zubereitung zusagt.Geliefert wurde der Grill in einer großen Schachtel. Darin befanden sich:* das Basis-Gerät* eine beschichtete Auflage für Grillgut mit einer Fläche für Crepes* acht beschichtete Pfännchen mit Griffschutz aus Teflon* acht HolzspatelnBei unserem Gerät ist ein UK-Stecker angebracht, weshalb auch ein Adapter mitgeliefert wurde mit dem sich das Raclette auch an Europäischen Steckdosen betreiben lässt. Die Temperatur lässt sich über einen Drehregler steuern. Dieser Regler wirkt nicht sonderlich hochwertig, was auf das gesamte Gerät zutrifft. Allerdings wirkt die Verarbeitung und die Ausstattung im Vergleich zu anderen Geräten in diesem Preissegment durchaus ähnlich. Hier setzen alle Hersteller auf vergleichbare Materialien und einen ähnlichen Aufbau.Dieser Raclette-Grill heizt schnell auf und bietet eine gute Verteilung der Hitze auf die Grillplatte. Auch die seitlichen Pfännchen werden von Oben gut erhitzt. Lediglich die Pfännchen in den 'Kurven' bekommen nicht so viel Hitze von Oben weshalb es bei denen etwas länger dauert bis Pfännchen ordentlich überbacken sind.Alles in Allem ist das Raclette sehr ordentlich verarbeitet und ideal für 4-8 Personen, je nachdem wie viele Pfännchen man verwenden möchte. Ich persönlich brauche mindestens zwei, da es sonst einfach zu lange dauert. Vor der ersten Verwendung sollte man den Grill im Freien durcherhitzen, da das Material anfangs ziemlich stark riecht. Die Beschichtung der Grillfläche ist sehr dünn und etwas anfällig. hier sollte man genau darauf achten, dass man keine scharfen, spitzen Gegenstände oder welche aus Metall verwendet. Für den geforderten Preis ist die Qualität und die Ausstattung dieses Raclette-Grills allerdings vollkommen in Ordnung.Diesen Grill erhielten wir zu Testzwecken kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt, was weder unsere Meinung darüber noch die Bewertung beeinflusste.

Bietet sehr viel Platz zum auflegen heizt schnell aufMan sollte den Grill das erste mal vor der Verwendung im Freien aufheizen ,da er das erste malstark raucht und stinkt aber nur beim ersten malHaben den grill schon oft verwendet und sind sehr zufrieden

Leider hat sich die Grillplatte bei der ersten Benutzung komplett verzogen und wackelte hin und her. Auch, nachdem sich das Gerät abgekühlt hatte, wackelte sie weiterhin, sodass wir das Gerät leider zurück schicken mussten.

Leider nicht zu gebrauchen, Platte nach 2 mal benutzen verbogen von der Hitze.Wärme schaltet sich ständig ab beim benutzen und somit wird das essen nicht durch

Nach wenigen Minuten verzieht sich die Grillplatt so sehr das der komplette Fleischsaft / Fett usw. auf den Tisch läuft. Zudem verzieht sie so sehr das sie an einer Seite von der Halterung abhebt und ich wirklich angst hatte das die Platte meinem Besuch auf den Schoß gleitet.
