My Hair Growth Success Routine with Watermans
UPDATE 2026: I've been using the Watermans Grow More Elixir for about two months now, and I'm finally starting to see some progress. it works better when combined with the taoist soap used 2 times a week, and regular scalp massage (3-4 times a week for 15 minutes with finger tips massaging the whole head) and also a fragrance free shampoo. Honestly, it kind of annoys me that Waterman, and pretty much every other hair company, doesn't just come out and say this. They market this elixir like it's a magic potion: spray it on, wait, and boom, hair. But hair loss isn't that simple. you def need a hair care routine. The serum itself is fine. I like that it's a sprayโsuper easy to hit the thinning spots, and it doesn't leave my hair greasy or looking like I put product in it. Smells nice too, which is a bonus. My brother actually started doing the full routine (Watermans, Taoist soap, scalp massage, collagen) about a month before me, so I got to see what was actually possible. That's really the only reason I stuck with it. And yeah, it took a solid 2โ3 months before either of us really saw a difference. For my brother, it was right around the three-month mark when you could actually see his hair looking thicker. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm already noticing less hair in the shower drain and some new little guys popping up along my hairline, so I'm feeling very optimistic. So yeah, the Waterman's elixir is good. But if you're going to buy it, don't treat it like a one-and-done thing. Build out the routine, be patient, and give it a few months. That's what actually worked for me and my brother

Light, active, and scalp-friendlyโboosts growth, reduces fallout, and keeps roots feeling fresh.
Used this after towel-drying post-showerโjust a few drops massaged into the scalp. No greasy feel, no residue, and it dries fast. You donโt rinse it out, so it keeps working throughout the day. Iโve used it alongside the Grow Meยฎ shampoo and conditionerโnoticed less shedding and a thicker feel around the crown after a few weeks. Itโs ideal for thinning areas, receding lines, or just keeping your scalp in top shape. Doesnโt interfere with styling products or leave any scent that clashes. ๐ Key Ingredients & Benefits Biotin & Caffeine: Stimulate follicles and support keratin production Niacinamide (B3): Improves scalp circulation and reduces inflammation Hydrolysed Lupine Protein: Helps strengthen roots and reduce breakage Rosemary & Argan Oil: Natural stimulants with anti-inflammatory properties Leave-In Formula: No rinse, no fussโjust apply and go ๐งช Performance Texture: Light serumโnon-oily, absorbs fast Scent: Mild herbalโclean, not overpowering Scalp Feel: Slight tingleโfeels active but not harsh Use: Daily or every other day for best results ๐ Pros โ Leave-inโno rinse, no mess โ Targets thinning and weak roots โ Works with other Watermans products โ UK-made and cruelty-free โ Suitable for men and women ๐ Cons โ Premium priceโmore than basic serums โ Results take timeโneeds consistent use โ Small bottleโ100ml goes fast with daily use โ No instant volumeโthis is long-game gear ๐งญ Personal Verdict If youโre serious about keeping your scalp healthy and encouraging growth, this elixir earns its spot. Iโve used it as part of a full Watermans routineโnoticed stronger roots and less fallout. Itโs clean, effective, and built for results over time.

It's good, but is it value for money?
I've used the Watermans Shampoo & Conditioner for a few months now and not only is my hair growing quicker it also looks a lot healthier so I decided to give the Elixir a try. I'm on the fence about this product, as I'm already using the other two products it's difficult to gauge whether this is 'adding' anything to the overall effect. It smells wonderful and I have noticed a thinning patch near my hair line has looked fuller but, I cannot say that it is just down to this product. I think for the cost of this, it's not worth it. I'm very happy with the results of the shampoo & conditioner so I will continue with those, but I honestly can't justify the spend on this. It's supposed to be just for scalp application but I don't think the spray on this bottle helps to keep the product focused just on the scalp, perhaps a dropper would be a better delivery system. I think the spray wastes a lot of this product and gets into the hair whether itโs intended to be there or not. If you have the money to spend then yes, give this a try, but if like me itโs an either or situation I would go for the shampoo first, the conditioner is good, but it wouldnโt be something that I would say is necessary and the elixir is ok but not worth the money. For the cost of the elixir you can buy a full shampoo & conditioner, my bottles have lasted me nearly 3 months washing my hair 2-3 times a week. The elixir only lasted 2 weeks for me.

Good but not for alopecia areata
I purchased this to use alongside the shampoo. I have a very small patch of alopecia areata, sadly after 3 months of using this there has been absolutely no change to my bald spot. However, I do have hair growth elsewhere/new hairs popping up. So whilst I donโt believe it will work for alopecia areata (or at least hasnโt in my case) it has definitely helped with new growth. The scent is quite subtle and not overpowering, it doesnโt sting when applied and it doesnโt make my hair greasy at all which is always a risk with scalp sprays! Iโm going to keep using this as Iโve been impressed with the new hair sprouting; even if it didnโt quite address the problem which I brought it for!

Love
The watermans range has astounded me! about 3 weeks ago I chopped my shoulder length hair to a bob ending at my earlobes, in 3 weeks my hair has grown an inch,I am not kidding, and I have trained as a hairdresser ,until now I've tried everything for my thinning menopause grey hair,I've always had straight silky fine hair, but it was getting thinner and tired looking,I started taking omega 3/6/9 upped protein coz I don't eat meat, and my hair is getting lovely. Also try and rinse with cold water it helps with shine and stimulation of the scalp and stops my hair getting greasier than it is,I put this serum on and have not had to wash it out,it hasn't made my hair sticky or crusty,I love it

Hair is thicker and in better condition
I have seen a vast improvement since using this product. As I have hit 40 my hair is thinning slowly and Iโm trying to get every last bit of life out of it. I have been using this product for a month now and genuinely have found a huge difference. My hair feels clean, fresh and is visibly a lot thicker. This product also smells good and has left my hair in much better condition than when I first started using it.

Test for deficiencies! This is a waste of money and time
The shampoo and conditioner are useless as the contact time with hair/scalp is minimal, but even the Elixir did zero for me / no effect whatsoever after a year of use - just look at the ingredients: you'd be better off using home-mixed rosemary oil (don't buy Nature's Best either - their percentage is not even stated on the bottle; just buy your own rosemary oil and mix with any carrier). Most people are not deficient in biotin anyway. This elixir will, at best, condition your hair a little - I am not sure where the positive reviews/photos come from: hair loss is usually a complex issue that cannot be solved with these ingredients. By the time your hair is thinning - the situation is already quite critical, so this will not be sufficient. I tried for a year with no results and eventually got serious: Whether you are a biological male or female - DHT is probably at play (rosemary deals with that to some extent but only in milder cases). Look into DHT blockers. CHECK YOUR IRON!! (and ferritin!). My iron was ok, but ferritin was too low - optimal numbers for hair are between 70 and 100 (the closer to 100 the better). Some people have absorption issues and have no clue, unless they specifically test ferritin (as iron might test fine). There are many at-home test kits / not very expensive. Check your vit D , B12 and zinc - they are important too. If you are perimenopausal - get on HRT as your hormone ratio is out of whack: too much testosterone in relation to progesterone and estrogen. Get your hormones checked. This range just smells nice but will not solve your hair loss, but even more frustrating than wasted money, you will waste precious time, as you can only reverse hair loss for so long once it's started. Do not repeat my mistake I got huge results ONLY when I fixed all of the above deficiencies and started using 5% Minoxidil (I am a female; do not buy the 2% - that's a con / rip off) Good luck on your recovery journey I'm deliberately not attaching photos, so they are not misleadingly attributed to this product

Not for everyone, for me. works. Must do daily with collagen
Am 62. Have edgings of grey side of hairline. Had sciatica which meant could hardly move. Lost 1cm of hairline during this phase, be it pain, stress or drugs was taking. Now recovered from sciatica-at moment. Spend 3 hours in the gym each day, take a daily dose of Collagen to assist, use this product aswell. No more regression od hairline, and seen new growth-maybe sparce, but new growth.
