Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable

Bought this having already tried a similar cable which wasn’t compatible and in retrospect had a vague description. This cable though had a very explicit description regards compatibility and it worked first time. The connection quality, quality of the cable, its packaging and its terminations are all good, so it was easy to set up and appears to be durable which is always good as it will last and have a good fit. I haven’t used it for sound but the display works well.

Great Cable for the money. Does actually work without any issues at 4K & at 144Hz too which seemed not to be the case with a good few other cables I had bought as everyone of them all claimed to work with 4k & be fully 144Hz compliant too but would fail within a couple of seconds giving flickering cutting out imaging or giving nothing but a black screen ;) The plugs seem quite decent build quality & the cabling itself seems to be thick enough that I'm confident it'll last me yrs n yrs too. Used on a Gaming PC with an Evga 1080 SC & a Benq 144Hz Monitor & gets the job done np's. Been using it for nearly 2 yrs now & it's performed faultlessly :) Fully 4K Compliant ! Fully 144Hz Compliant ! Buy it & you won't be disappointed like I can assure you would be by many other brands of so called 4K & 144Hz ready cables ;)

Works well

I bought this hoping to squeeze a few more months / years (?) out of my older Mac Pro (Early 2009) and get 2K output to a recently replaced monitor. The monitor is equipped with HDMI, VGA and Display Ports, which I hadn't used before. After only getting 1080p through various HDMI adapters I had gathered over the years, I decided to try and find out what the Display Port could do and set out to find what cables were 2-4K compatible. It was a bit of a task sorting through cables that varied from 1080p to full 4K with various refresh rates. Then comparing compatibility with the Mac Pro (Early 2009) and also Mac OS capabilities of El Capitan 10.11.6 it was information overload. Anyway the important part is this cable instantly switched the output to 2K as soon as I plugged it into the monitor. The quality looks great although admittedly I don't know that much about various colour profiles etc. Anyway I hope this helps anyone who is trying to squeeze more time from their older Mac Pro and GPU (in this case an ATi Radeon HD 4870 512MB). I am not sure what the maximum resolution is as I only have 2K display port displays but I think if you have the right Mac OS settings I think it would be able to reach 4K.

All seems good so far...good quality cable Needed to connect my second pc to my monitor, which only had a mini display port available. Connected the display port to my pc and the mini display port to my monitor and all works perfect at 3840x1080 @ 144htz So no complaints 👍👍👍

Likes: Cost; appearance of being sturdy and well made; genuine two-way comms traffic; fast delivery; works well. Smacks of quality. Dislikes: None. Just hoping it is as durable as it looks.

I've had two of these. It seems the weak point is the cable near the plug. If you bend it even slightly too much (ie, but pushing your laptop towards the wall) you cable stops working altogether. If it's connected in a static way (eg: behind a tv or similar), you'll be happy with it. I plug my laptop into it daily, and unfortunately it's not good enough for me. It's a pity, as I liked the item and delivery time

This works perfectly for both my Thinkpad T430 and MacBook Air 2017 model. The picture quality is excellent and I like how long it is, because I can have my monitor wherever I need it to be on my desk. I believe it supports high refresh rates and resolutions, but I've only been able to run 1080p 120 Hz on my Thinkpad. I believe it's a bottleneck on the Thinkpad's part.

Fantastic !! These cables did a great job of helping my (nearly antique) MacPro2013 connect to 3 displays. 2x Dell 24" and 1x HTC 27". All at full resolution :) Just be a little bit careful, as the DisplayPort ends have a latch incorporated, so you have to squeeze the button in order to remove the end from the monitor (at least in my case !!)

MacBook Pro 2015(15インチ)で使用。 外部モニターのHDMIポートが空いてなかったので、DisplayPort接続用に購入。 thunderbolt2ポートからの出力で綺麗に表示出来ています。クラムシェル時のスリープ復帰も問題無し。 ケーブルもしなやかで、モニターアームに沿わせて無理なく配線できました。
