NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING SERIES โข This mythic novel takes a dive into the Underworld and explores how a god turns into one of Disneyโs most hot-headed villains: Hades. Hades wanted nothing more than to escape the misery of his new life, but he took his responsibilities seriouslyโฆ The myth has been told for centuries: Brothers Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades waged a years-long war against their father Cronus and his tyrannical Titans. Upon their mighty victory, Zeus split the world into three. For himself, he claimed the Sky and what fell below it. To his brother Poseidon, he assigned dominion over the Sea. And his oldest brother, Hades, would rule the Underworld. While Hades tries to make the best of a lonely situation, eternity proves a long time to be forced live in a roleโa domainโhe never wanted. And the part of the story no one tells is that when your family treats you like a villain, it is far too easy to become one. Years of being ignored and shamed by his family reach a fiery head, when three perfectly alive witches find their way into the land of the dead. Bored and lonely, Hades befriends these mysterious Odd Sisters and makes a bargain that will change the course of fate. But when youโre a god, making a deal has the potential to rewrite more stories than just your own . . .

not a villain
Great book. I love the story of Hades. It's great to see that he wasn't always a villain, and it really makes you root for him.

Captivating
From Captain Hook to Hades, John York's narration of Fire and Fate is truly exceptional. Serena Valentino once again delivers a brilliant masterpiece, weaving together past events while paving the way for new possibilities. Set in the Mistress of All Evil storyline, Fire and Fate delves into Hades's role in Circe's death and the Odd Sisters' decision to resurrect her as their daughter. It reveals Circe's true origins, Hades's impact on the Odd Sisters' fate, and the repercussions of their imprisonment in the world between. Without giving away any thrilling twists, Fire and Fate is the most captivating installment in the series so far, leaving readers excited for what's to come. Revisiting Mistress of All Evil and The Odd Sisters beforehand is highly recommended for an even richer experience.
