Well made reminder to chill a little around the holidays
I have several items from this company, and they seem to fall into two categories. Either they are stunningly elegant or disappointing trash that I end up tossing after the holidays. This little zen gnome is in the elegant category, surprisingly! The little guy is very well made and has a lot of small detail which I appreciate. He's just the right size for a Christmas tree ornament, too. Not so large that it has to replace the star on the top of the tree (or, in my case, the Klingon Battle Cruiser), but large enough so he shows up at a distance. I really like the overall concept, too. A zen gnome sounds strange, but somehow it works and adds a little calm to a sometimes trying time of year. It probably helps that I like gnomes, but non-traditional versions of them. I have three zombie gnomes outside guarding the entrance to my home. The little red bird in his beard I could do without. It looks odd, and I had to check the description to find out why his heart is coming out. Like I said, odd. But, not so much that I don't love the guy. Now I just have to give him a name.
