I used this for week 8-16 for a rescue kitten who had been hand reared as the mother had rejected the litter. His fur/coat wasn't in great condition and he was pretty tiny for his age - he grew lots and his coat got much better and glossy eating this food. He's still on the stage 2 version, which I used for our slightly older kitten from 8 weeks - I don't think there is a massive difference between the two apart from kibble size and calorie input - decided to use this with the rescue kitten as felt he needed some tlc. Older kitten now moved over to royal canin outdoor (where she spends 80% of her awake time!). I have always given a variety of wet food to both. Royal canin biscuits are of a great quality, my cats have loved all the ones I have mentioned and are thriving on them, buying through amazon also makes them excellent value for money

I would wait until the cat is older - roughly 11+ months - to switch to a more adult format. As a kitten, she will need the extra minerals and vitamins in this formula for awhile, but after 1 year, she may become intolerant to the milk additives in this formula. Kittens do not become full adults until 3 years of age, so be sure the next stage you feed your cat still has enhanced minerals and vitamins, though she will not need the milk additive.
