King of Shaves Advanced Sensitive Shaving Oil For Men With Handy Pump, For A Close and Comfortable Shave, Shave Oil For Men, 2x30ml

I bought this for use with a shaver. To be specific, I use the Panasonic Arc 3 ES-LT6N. It works well for that use-case scenario. It provides a layer of lubrication so the shaver's head can glide more easily over the skin. It's particularly good after a shower. My whiskers are softened up nicely and I hardly feel any resistance or hear the typical crunching sounds of hairs being cut. Any decent shaving cream could get you a similar result, I suppose, but this product has the added advantage of allowing you to see what you're doing. I find that the closeness is a bit better compared to no product at all, again, specially after a shower (your face doesn't need to be still wet). I haven't experienced any irritation or allergies. I do get some ingrown hairs, but that happens to me with any product or shaving method I've tried. I'm not very good at describing smells, but to me it has a light earthy/herby fragrance. It's closer to some beard oils I've used than to a typical perfume or eau de cologne. It's inoffensive and a good option if you don't like strong fragrances or if you'll be using a strong aftershave because they won't clash. Since it is an oil, it is obviously oily so the hair clippings tend to lump together and stick to the cutters. It's not too bad, but you will need to clean your shaver more thoroughly more often. Simply rinsing under the tap will not remove all the gunk. I did also try it once with a Gillette Mach3 since it says it can be used with a standard razor without any shaving cream. Mind you, I stopped using traditional blades on a regular basis years ago so I'm out of practice and the razor I had laying around might not have been the sharpest, but the results were pretty bad. I didn't get hurt, but the razor hardly seemed to be cutting any hairs. As I said, I'm not the best person to ask when it comes to traditional wet shaving, but I figured I'd share my experience. In conclusion, I'm happy with the results when using an electric shaver and I'd recommend it for that use-case scenario. As for traditional wet shaving - I'm not convinced you can get by without using foam or gell as well.

This oil makes for a close and smooth shave. Easy to apply. In a neat travel size container also good value. I use all the King of Shaves products and find the quality excellent, smell good and stops rashes for me. One but, the oil does cling to the sink with the bristles, so need to clean with soap

Wow, this stuff is awesome ! The razor blade just slides nice and close across your skin and gets as close as possible to the hair shaft. Defo will buy all the time now ive discovered how brilliant it is 👍

I like this shaving oil, normally shave in the shower and this makes it so easy. You always used to see this product in the supermarkets but not been available for a long time, so good to be able to buy it from Amazon

I've been using shaving oil for many years now - I shave in the shower, and it makes life much easier to use a shaving product which doesn't just rinse off as soon as you apply it under those circumstances! I've tried various makes of shaving oil, and this Advanced oil from King of Shaves is by far the best. This is at least in part due to the way it is packaged - the spray bottle makes it very easy to dispense exactly the right amount for one use, and it doesn't leak or leave oily marks on surfaces. One squirt, massage gently into your face and leave to work for a minute or so while you wash your hair, and then shave - no mess, no fuss, just a beautifully close shave and soft skin with no need for any aftershave products or moisturisers. A bottle lasts a good two or three months, as well, so it's great value.

Does exactly what it should: provides a good close shave, both wet and electric. A shame it comes in plastic bottles. But I will buy it again because the others I’ve tried are even more wasteful.

I keep a bottle in my work bag and one in the bathroom. Lid seems quite secure, so handy for traveling. If you've just washed your face, as you should before shaving, the head of your electric shaver will have trouble doing it's job, it'll feel like it's sticking to your skin. A couple of pumps of this stuff rubbed over your skin, give it 30 seconds or so and then shave, you'll find the shaver does it's job without getting stuck. Good gear, smells nice too. Just remember to clean out your shaver afterwards, you don't want the blades getting gummed up before your next shave.

I was recommended this product by a friend. Having now tried it for 2 weeks, I can say that the shave is much cleaner/smoother than using foam, plus my skin feels so much better after shaving. I was also surprised how few drops of the oil are needed for each shave. Overall, really pleased - an excellent find.

Hace años que uso aceite de afeitar y no está mal. Por mi gusto es un poco espeso y el pelo se pega a las hojas más que con otros aceites. Lo que me preocupa un poco as que las botellas lleguen sin ningún envoltorio... Nada.. solo las botellas
