I am intrigued about how these work !!** A: I just put a scraping if butter on the bread then slices of cheese - make the sandwich pop it in the bag and then in the toaster - non of the cheese has run out at all. Hope that helps. **Q: Can this be used in a toastie machine?** A: Don’t know. If you have a toaster machine you won’t need this. To be honest this is a really crap item. You have to have a really small slices of bread to fit in it. And mine caught fire **Q: What thickness of bread can you use? I imagine it has to be thin for them to fit in toaster slot.** A: It depends how wide the slot is in your toaster. I have one of those American style toasters with wider slots so I can use thick sliced in that. However, the Toastabags worked well with MEDIUM sliced bread in my prev toaster . Give the bag a helping hand to slide in if it needs it, and it should be fine. If you're unsure, slide it in, push the 'on' lever down and just keep an eye on it, ie just watch and see what happens. Go on! Have a go ! :-) A good toastie is well worth it. I sometimes spread good butter on the top when it's on the plate.
