MegaGear MG407 Sony Alpha A6300, A6000 (16-50 mm) Ever Ready Leather Camera Case and Strap - Dark Brown

Camera fits in well even with 2 filters attached. Bought for in transit protection only. When camera in use I detach the front section and it remains in bag or in car. Without that the remaining part of case adds protection and is comfortable when operating the camera and still retains fitting for tripod if required.

I'm a little miffed by this one. The case is of course PU leather, which I was aware of when buying it. Waited a few long days for it. Not overly bothered by that either. First impressions of the cases quality seem ok. However, given the price of this one compared to others (I was in a rush to get a case...), the lower half case is not lined PU leather on a nice base hard base within... It appears to be a solid chunk of brown colored plastic. Not the ideal.The case upper is well made, but perhaps not for this camera? The advert states this is for the a6000, but the fit isn't wonderful.The lens pouch is way too long for the kit lens (which is what it's supposed to fit), making a pocket stuffable system camera actually quite bulky.The rear flap of the upper case is also not designed to fit over the eye cup of the EVF, so you either put up with a badly fitting case, or constantly remove the eye cup. A little mounding in the PU during manufacturing would make for a much nicer solution.Fittings seem to be good quality, and hold firmly. The tripod mount is a good fit to the camera bottom and lines up with ease and accuracy.Overall, it's a nice enough case that's spoiled somewhat by the bad fit of the case upper and the molded plastic lower. I will update the review after it's been out to Brazil and back in hand luggage, pockets etc.

It fits very well on the Sony A6000 but you can not close the camera's screen completely on the bottom ,it remains about 1-2 mm,but it doesn't bother me at all.Even with the Eye-piese on the camera ,you can close the Leather case easily,no need to worry about.If it's genuin leather or not,I can't figure out because it's a very good finish and looks like leather.Color is exactly like in the photo,nice color.You can use it on a tripod,I already did it.It's a little triky when you want to shoot something, and have to take the whole front of the case off because otherwise it bothers you in front of the lens.For protecting your camera is excelent.I personally like it.

Overall a good product. The bottom piece offers a nice extra grip and size to grasp the camera. While the fit is not perfect its serviceable especially the bottom flap for fast memory card and battery removal. Take care about the tripod mount while it is possible in theory to mount the camera with the case bottom installed the rivets may interfere with the tripod mount and will result to not be able to be fully tightened or just partially. Size wise it fits about the 16-50mm kit lens.

I have had this case for about a month and took it on a road trip around Utah. I initially did not like the way it would get in the way of the lens when shooting photo's, I then got real and took off the front by means of the two snap on's. The rest of the case protects the bottom and grip with NO obstruction to the pull out LCD screen and the tripod mount works perfectly.As far as the quality is concerned I have no issues at all, it seems to be very robust and feels like it will last a long time. All in all it looks a classy bit of kit and works well (it is there after all to protect the camera while in transit and as much as possible while in use). I cannot comment on the strap as I have a good one that came with my camera.

Makes the camera far less vulnerable to knocks, and allows access to most features while the camera is cased.

It has a great retro look, and a matching strap, so it certainly has 5/5 for looks.However, it is impractical. When I want to take a picture, just unclipping the body protector makes it hang, and it hangs in the way. I find the most practical thing to do is to completely remove the protection, and put it somewhere, but that means I need to carry another bag for it.
