My hair looks and feels thicker, there is definitely a visible difference. This solution is watery but I don’t find it difficult to use at all, I just tilt my head back slightly when applying. I also don’t find it to have a strong smell at all, it’s very mild and it quickly disappears. This doesn’t make my hair greasy or weigh it down. I am on medication which is affecting my hair and growth. My hairdresser gives me a treatment - a cocktails oils, serums and conditioners - every five weeks when I have my hair cut and coloured. She advised me to buy shampoo, conditioner, oil, spray that protects colour, hair from heat, helps hair shine and a memory spray that you put on wet and dry hair, the latter three definitely help. I cannot buy her treatment as it is made up of a lot of various elements tailored for the customer in question. There are five and each bottle costs an absolute fortune. I do not swear by her recommendation of her shampoo, so I bought these two products. As I only wash my hair once a week, I really couldn't give an honest answer as I'm not sure if the treatments I have every five weeks are helping more than the Plantur combination. I do keep using it as it's not causing any harm whatsoever but, I don't know what my hair would be like without it. If I could afford the hairdresser's products I would use those all the time. Will continue using it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Some things you should know about this product *by C***M on 5 July 2017* I've just bought this & only used it twice so can't yet say whether I think it does what it claims to do - however, I wanted to let people know some things other reviewers haven't mentioned & that I had wondered about before I made my purchases. 1) The active ingredient is in Plantur 39 Shampoo & Tonic ONLY - so if you don't want the conditioner, there is no need to buy it. 2) You must apply the active ingredient to your scalp every day for best results - so if you don't want to shampoo every day, then you use the tonic in between shampoos. If you shampoo every day you won't need the Tonic (although maybe it would help? Double whammy!) 3) The Shampoo and Tonic have an unusual smell (not unpleasant). The only way I can describe it is to say it smells 'green' (not in a flowery way), so is OK for males & females.
