Renovo RHRBLA5001115 International Soft Top Reviver, Black, 500 ml, 500ml

Bought to recolour a MINI hood that had become discoloured after being parked under trees over the past two or three years - lots of tree sap, bird lime and general yellow/green patches on the black roof. It's worked beautifully and the 500ml bottle is just enough for a single coat. Cleaned first with the Renovo cleaner, the hood was then coated with the Reviver - apply with a 2" paintbrush taking care not to let it run. This stuff is really runny, so a damp cloth to catch spills is vital, but it covers very well and the colour is deep and rich - covered up all the remaining spots on the roof after the cleaner had done its thing. The 500ml bottle is just enough to do a MINI roof but a second coat (second bottle!) made the hood really dark and now it looks like new. The patches are well covered by the Reviver; forget the other stuff available, go straight to Renovo to get the job done properly.

I have a 14 year old BMW E46 convertible. I never did anything special to the roof before and it started to look a bit tired and grey. So July 2014 I bought 500ml each of the Cleaner, this black Reviver and the Ultra Proofer. The cleaner certainly took off more dirt than normal cleaning, although having paid a lot for the stuff I was probably trying harder too. The dye made it look very nice and black while the proofer made the canvas repel water like it were metal. The one thing it will not do is completely even out the crease marks and shiny bits where the roof rubs when folded. I am guessing nothing will do that. All in all a good buy. I will probably do it once a year from now on.

It's seems quite runny at first but as long as you squeeze the excess from the brush I found it really easy to apply without it dripping or running. My MX5 mk2 hood was quite badly soiled and faded in places (over 20 years old) and it looks as good as new now. I managed one coat inside and out and then a second coat outside from one 500ml bottle. Being very careful not to let it drip it went on the inside of the hood like a charm so all that sun fading inside is now also gone.

We have a 10 year old BMW Z4 which likely never had a proper soft top clean since new. At least 50% of it was green mould/algae type stuff and it looked fairly grim. I started off with the Renovo cleaner, following the instructions to the letter. Needed two goes and all the green was gone, the roof was virtually spotless but being 10 years old, it still looked a little faded. I then used this reviver exactly as per the instructions, I actually masked up the bodywork but it was fairly thin so any run overs can just be wiped up and it didn't seem to stain any rubber trim etc. The roof now looks almost brand new, I couldn't believe the before and after results, especially for £28 worth of products. My advice would be to do the cleaner first, following the instructions and using a soft bristle brush to really scrub it with hot water after leaving the cleaner a full hour to work. Then use the reviver and I have also brought the waterproof stuff to try this weekend, hopefully it will stop the rain etc from being absorbed and the roof ending up int the same state again! I have enough cleaner and reviver to give it a second go, perhaps in a year or so just before we plan to sell the car.

I rarely leave feedback as I am just to lazy and busy but this stuff is so good, I just felt I had to. First of all I have not been paid for my review so its honest. My wife has a 2007 Mazda MX5 with a mohair soft top. Since we have owned it I have not bothered cleaning it once other then get my car washed for a £5.00. As a result, the soft top has lost its natural colour and was covered in mould. I considered replacing it but did not want to pay £600 so I thought I would give this product a shot. I purchased all three products from RENOVO. The cleaner, the recolour and the waterproofer. I used the cleaner with cold water and it did not work. I then changed up. I scrubbed the roof with boiling hot water and then applied the cleaner. I waited an hour and then scruffed again with boiling water, rinsing off with cold water. I did this twice and my roof was completely clean. There is enough of the cleaner liquid to do the Mazda roof 5 times. I then recoloured and BOOM!. Brand new roof. I did this twice (more then enough for twice over) I then waterproofed, again enough for more then twice over. I highly recommend these items. I am now buying some more waterproofer so i can do the roof once a month. BUY IT!!

My top looks like new again. Very happy with the product and its effect. I would say when applying to be careful and ensure you have cleaned off any water-repellant because even cleaned it's very running and hard to prevent it from running onto widows and bodywork! If it helps I treated mine by; - Hovering off dust - Rinsing with water - Washing with a weak solution of fabric roof shampoo - Cleaned using a solution of Milton using a horsehair brush to ensure I killed and removed any algae (Did this multiple times and replaced solution each time.) - Rinsed off the roof a few times - Once fully dry applied the restorer. (Not in direct sunlight) - Applied fabsil gold once dry to waterproof it.

After using the Renovo fabric roof cleaner my black Audi TT roof was considerably cleaner but some stubborn stains from lichen, fungi and general 'green stuff' remained. Was worried about using the Reviver as there is no way back if it doesn't work very well. I needn't have been concerned. Followed the instructions, found it easy to use and got a very good result. Stains are covered and roof is a nice even black colour. Used nearly the whole 500cc bottle for the TT roof so would recommend more for a bigger roof. Also applied the Ultra Proofer afterwards and seems to have worked well too.

Make sure to clean your soft top properly and allow to dry fully before you apply the reviver.

Muy buen producto. Indispensable para el tratamiento de la capota. Se aplica fácilmente con una brocha, no deja trazas y repara como nuevo las zonas desteñidas. Se limpia bien de la pintura del coche e incluso de la tapicería de cuero. 500ml es justo para una capota mediana (audi TT, Z3), para coches más grandes será necesario el bote grande.
