I'm a natural blonde with long and very fine hair, but in my early 50's I've noticed that over the last few months my hair has become quite dark, brown really. There may be many reasons for this, illness & medication or just age etc, but I'm wary of bleaching or colouring my hair, as I've never used anything like that before. So I searched for more natural alternatives and found this product and after talking to my hairdresser (who wanted to give me highlights, but did tell me how best to use this product - spray on a comb not on your hair) I went ahead and used it. This is the way I've used it, if if helps - I wash and condition as normal, then towel dry my hair sufficiently that it's not dipping, hang my head upside down and comb my hair through thoroughly, spray the product onto both sides of a medium-fine comb and then keeping my head upside down, comb through my hair from root to tip 3 times for the front section, then reload and comb through 3 times for one side, then reload and comb though 3 times for the other side, then reload and comb through 3 times for the under sections of the hair - hope that makes sense - I then wrap my hair in a turbie towel and leave it for a couple of hours, then I blow dry. I used this method every couple of days for about 10 days and found that it gave me a very gradual lightening, which was perfect for me. My hair now looks much more like it's natural colour, which has made me feel so much better about myself and my hair feels incredibly soft and well conditioned. I feel very confident in using this product again, which I hadn't expected. I have naturally dark blonde hair. I'm from Texas but moved to London and there is a significant lack of sunshine here as expected, so my hair got really really dull over winter. I bought this hoping to brighten it up for the spring without resorting to dying my hair (I was considering balayage) since I never have and don't want to damage it! This product really really worked for me. I'm not a bleach blonde by any means now but I didn't want to be - just a summery light blonde with my natural highlights peeking through! My process: shower and usually only shampoo, let it dry a little to be in the "damp stage", spray product generously but lighter at top (I'm not trying to dye my whole head I want a natural color lift!) so most of the product in the mid section to tips. Let that sit for about 30 minutes and then blow dry. I've definitely seen a difference and will continue to use this product :). The texture of my hair has remained VERY soft and no dryness had occurred!!

A: This is a natural, conditioning and bleaching spray for head hair, and I remember it from when I was a kid in the 1980s. It's a classic. :) It's thin and watery, rather than jel-like, so if you swim right after using, it'll obviously wash out. Use it like hairspray, by covering your eyes before spritzing on hair around the face and roots for a natural look. It's activated by sunlight and heat, so if you use a hairdryer or go out on a hot day, the lightening will emerge faster. I spray in and leave the warmth of my head to dry it naturally. Also, it doesn't smell amazing, but it's okay, and doesn't bleach my clothes or carpet etc, when I spray loads on. Camomile and nitrogen peroxide are both natural bleaches that have been used forever to blond hair. However, It's still chemicals, and can sting a little if loads gets on your scalp, but it absolutely works, and provides gentle natural hair lightening. I think Intea offer a one for body hair, if you wanted it for that. I naturally have golden blonde hair though, now with grey roots, and I use Intea to brighten my hair. If you're darker, any hair you spray will go redder first, and will take a lot of spraying to go blond, if it ever does. I'm not paid to advertise this: this does work, and it's economical, but do use common sense, as with all chemicals, and don't expect to end up looking like Claudia Schiffer (unless you are her, of course.)😆

Ok, so as much as this product was incredible and lifted my hair, not majorly - but a shade lighter. It is not 100 percent natural, I went to the hair salon today to get highlights... The hair dresser asked my hair routine, and just before we were about to proceed I mentioned I was using a natural hair lightening spray.. his face changed , he said time to do a strand test. Although these chemicals say natural they have something called metallic salts or something similar, a chemical that has to react with the sun. Once this is applied to your hair, the hair will soak it and keep that metallic salt in for months... Within 2 minutes of the strand test ...he said, if you hadn't told me about that, we would of had to cut all of your hair off... The strand of hair was like chewing gum... It stretched, and then broke!!! This stuff completely destroys the protein in your hair and has been banned in most countries. I haven't used heat, (blow-dryer, straightners) On my hair in one year at all. Every time in the past I have gone to the hair dressers I was so confident with my hair I would sign a waiver about the chemical test and have perfect highlights. He said I have to let this grow out, or use protein shampoo and maybe try another strand test in 3 months and we will see. So if you are using this to see if you want to go lighter and do this before confirming a discussion to the hair dresser. Tell your stylist !!! The strand was even fizzing and dissolving my hair ! Absolute catastrophie avoided ! Also for anyone still not believing , I hadn't used this product for 2 weeks and still fizz , dissolve, stretch, break, and then cry my eyes out due to having my head shaved ...

I can't say if the product works yet so I will edit my review in the up coming weeks. The bottle is fairly small, I'm not too sure on the scent of the product. I can smell the chamomile but I can also smell a chemically smell which doesn't make the smell that pleasant whilst using it but it doesn't stay In the hair. I have brunette hair, it's not really dark but it's just a normal brown colour but I have red & golden undertones in my hair. I have only used it twice and haven't seen any difference yet but since it's a gradual process I will have to wait and see. I will give the product a month or so to see If it really is suitable for brunette hair. I wash my hair with shampoo and use a l spray leave in conditioner then use the lightning spray. I have been using the hair dryer at the moment since I live in the UK and the sun is in hiding at the moment, but when the sun comes out I will use the sun instead. **PRODUCT UPDATE** I have been using this for 2 weeks twice a week and I can see results ! My hair has gone a lighter brownish red colour as you can see, but it looks different in person. I Havent been able to use the natural method of drying my hair in the sun but instead have been using the hair dryer when I diffuse my hair. I have noticed a slight change in colour and I am really impressed. I will continue to use this product over the course of 6 months and see how light my hair really can get with the use of this product and come back with another picture result! I would highly recommend this product if you dont want to seriously damage your hair, it hasn't made my hair dry at all but I do take care of my hair and use coconut oil as a deep conditioner once a week and leave it in over night. If you dont straighten your hair or dye it, your hair will stay in good condition with this product. I would not recommend using this on children, even with the more milder product for them.

Got this to try to lighten my dark blonde/light brown hair back to the lighter blonde it was when I was younger. It took a few (three so far, and I plan to do one more) applications, as described in the product leaflet, but I have definitely noticed that my hair is much lighter. I'm now most definitely blonde rather than borderline! Furthermore, this product did not make my hair feel dry or brittle after use, and I had no skin reactions to it. The only thing I noticed was a tiny sting when some got into an open cut on my forehead, but that was expected and easily remedied by cleaning the area with a damp cloth. The product is easy to apply, and definitely works best if you can sit in bright sunlight for an hour or so afterwards. Personally, I would recommend getting someone to help apply it, especially if you have longer hair. I used a towel around my shoulders to protect my skin and clothes, and it was not stained or discoloured at all, which was quite nice! Service from the seller was also excellent and the product arrived promptly. Overall, I am very happy with this product, and I will most definitely reorder some more when my bottle runs out.

I rarely write negative reviews on Amazon because I am often satisfied with the products I purchase, but I can honestly say that buying this was one of the worst decisions I have made- my hair had been highlighted blonde and I was using it on my roots to ensure they stayed blonde, but gradually my roots became ginger. This product is probably great if you are a natural blonde, but originally I have light brown hair and using this product has made me miss my awful brown roots. If you have heard of how terrible Sun In is for your hair, then this is on the same level- it strips back the hair follicle to dye it, and by using it weekly your hair WILL become damaged. The appeal of using Chamomile and 'natural' ingredients is what convinced me to buy this product, but few of the ingredients (chemicals) are 'natural' and the majority are those that are in Sun In, are in this. Now not only have I got awful ginger roots, I cannot dye it due to the damage the product has caused- I have money and the ability to get my hair dyed back, but due to the damage caused by the product, two hairdressers have apologetically told me that I must either grow it out or get it back into a good condition (but even then it is indefinite to be fixed). This is not me trolling or trying to ruin the company behind the product, but I cannot put into words my regret for using this product. If your hair is naturally blonde this will work- if you are like me and naturally have light brown hair or darker, don't be lazy as I was and find something else as you WILL regret it!

I like this product and how the seller packs it every time, they are careful with everything in the packet. This product works very well especially if your hair is medium blonde or dark blonde.

I have used this product for years and it is most effective if you go in the sun or dry your hair with a blowdryer after spraying it on. Once or twice a week is more than sufficient to get a gradual change. Comb your hair after applying for even application that look like natural highlights when dry.

That's exactly it! I just needed to use 6 times for people to notice the difference. I also didn't feel that my hair got unhealthier for using this product. I will definitely buy it again.

This is my favorite product in the world actually. It lightened my hair so good but don’t spray in excess…. Just repair the damage but it lightens it really good
