Powerpik 5000 Hair Dryer, Pik Attachment for Afro Hairstyling

I used it for at least 2 years now, I use the comb brush almost everyday and it's doing good job, I'm really happy with the product. I have a curly hair but it straighten my hair very fast, the hot air is perfect just as a professional

My first hairdryer of this brand, I purchased it from Argos. It lasted for over 3 years until one morning I wanted to strengthen my hair put some hair cream, and as I was trying to hold the hairdryer, it slipped from my hands and fell on the flood. The hairdryer fun broke, but then the body remained intact. I checked Argos, but it was no longer available. I was so pleased when I found it on Amazon. I love using this hairdryer. It's powerful and does a good job. I use it at home for strengthening my hair and wigs, which works for me well.

For Africans, that comb for 4C hair will not work. It will just be painful, tedious, and inconvenient. You'd do a better job with your own comb and a blow-dryer. But the blow-dryer itself works. It's really, really good. It blow-dries. But that comb, don't think it'll do anything for your 4C hair. If it's kinky, there's nothing you can do about it. Use a normal comb. I think it might be better.

OMGOSH I haven't used it yet, but over 130 reviews with a rating of 4/5 overall it must be good! I always buy mines from America because those are the only ones that stretch my hair out well,as well as give it shine! British ones always seem to dry my hair out, but i have seen Afro hair stretched out well at the salons so one review in particular here really caught my eye where one said they'd never seen their thick hair straightened so well before. SOUNDS LIKE JUST THE MAGIC I NEED RIGHT ABOUT NOW, as well as STOPPING having to pay on those custom taxes LOL! O_O but guys I really came on to say OMG i was a bit stuIgy and bought it USED 'LIKE NEW' from amazon marketplace where the box was suppose to be damaged...IT CAME NNEWWWW for £14.75 instead of £27+ FOR NEW! I did as well buy an extra pik just in case as i was not expecting nothing as prestige as this! PIK GREEAT! BOX great , plug great, packaging great! And i think i'll be back to edit my post when I wash my hair this weekend and see what it do! HA! All enclosed pics is what I received in the post today OMG!

Great product blows dries nicely

Giving 3 stars because I bought the hairdryer with the hope of using the pik to comb through my hair while I dry. The grip on the pik is very poor and it keeps falling off. I strongly recommend that subsequent versions should have stronger grip for the pik to attach securely to the dryer. Also doesn't help that the hairdryer is quite heavy. The dryer is quite powerful, with strong airflow and heat. It's just a shame that the Pik doesn't attach securely

I was worried to purchase at first, as people mentioned issues with the pik attachment staying on; but I have very thick afro hair and have no issues with it coming lose. The pik attachment is actually an improvement from the older models as the rubber around the base of the pik attachment holds it on more securely. The new faster speed setting allows me to dry my hair faster at a lower temperature which is great for avoiding heat damage. The only issues I have are; the weight, it's pretty heavy and when you have a lot of a hair and its thick you're holding the dryer up for a while. Also the placement of the buttons is awkward and sometimes you press different setting, especially when your arms getting tired. However I'm very happy with it.
