A real indigo blue reactive dye ink
Per all Distress products this is a dye ink designed to give slightly imperfect coverage and then react with added water to give a grunge-y effect. It works well with rubber stamps (red and grey) but less so with photopolymer and not really at all with the cheaper silicone polymer ones. Ideally for Distress you need rubber but don't expect a perfect result like Memento or Archival - this isn't meant to do that. This is a mini-ink pad so you can store round blending foam inside the base and/or store the pad in the mini-ink pad tins. This is advisable for storage as the lids do not lock! The ink is provided on a thick felt pad that gives fantastic direct-to-paper application as well as being great on stamps or with a blending tool. You can dab it onto an acrylic block for "ink smooshing" methods or paint with it using a waterbrush like you would any watercolour or you can use it to colour texture pastes. So versatile! As for the colour - Faded Jeans is a true indigo blue, exactly like a pair of jeans and it sits well with the other blues in the range. Strongly recommended for lovers of Distress who want a true dark blue or indigo or those new to the range.

Old Paper distress ink
I'm fairly new to crafting with inks but I've realised that Tim Holtz products, although quite expensive, are very good. I'm very pleased with this item although I wasn't expecting the colour, which turned out to be green. I have since bought 'Vintage Photo' which was more of the colour I had in mind and I checked the colour charts online properly this time! I have yet to try all the techniques possible with these inks but they seem full of possibilities and it will be difficult not to start a collection as they are all so nice! (The fast delivery was excellent and the item well packaged).

It's a perfect neutral color for edging photo mats and various elements ...
I bought this mainly to ink the edges of scrapbook bits and pieces. It's a perfect neutral color for edging photo mats and various elements on any color layout and makes my scrapbook pages look much more "finished". Because of the way the pad is packaged, it's easy to drag bits of card across the surface to color the edges as there's no raised edge like on some stamp pads. I've been using it off and on for several weeks now and it's still going strong and doesn't appear to dry out. Would certainly recommend!

Perfect for edging Tarot decks
I love these inks. They are high quality and look amazing. I use them primarily for edging Tarot decks. They are definitely worth spending a bit extra on.
