Oxford Essential French Dictionary: French- English - English-French

Perfect for a learner

I should have bought this several years ago. I love to visit France and speak a little of the language. For several years I've been using the Oxford Concise French Dictionary that I had in my schooldays, but it's way out of date and I've struggled to find modern day idioms. I've just bought this new Essential dictionary and found that it answers many of the things that have puzzled me. This dictionary is up to date and contains the words and phrases that are in common use. I'm due to visit again soon and I'm happier that I've bought this reference book.

Lovely little travel dictionary, French to English and vice versa

Gave as gift to my French friends, who will find the dictionary interesting, whereas they can change from English to French and French to English.

As Canadian myself, this book is an exceptionally powerful item to have on my archive and shelf. This book gives a purview to our French-English reality and allows anyone to explore the French-Canadian dialect. Recommended for all Canadians, east to west, Quebec or BC.
