Is there any plastic parts in contact with the boiling water?

Yes, the filter and other parts inside the kettle.

My guest accidentally put it on the stove and melted the plastic base :(. Wondering is parts are available??? It still works..

It comes from England, so I doubt if parts are available here. The kettle is not that expensive, just buy a new one. Make your guest pay for it…

This kettle has a electric base that heats the water inside. The water remains hot for a period of time when the kettle is not sitting on the electrical base. Temps vary based on the persons desire.
