Radio controlled garden clock
Very good and reliable garden clock. It keeps perfect time as you might expect being radio controlled. It has hung on the outside wall now for several weeks through direct heat and heavy rain, and so far seems impervious to both. It is clear and easily read from a distance making it invaluable in keeping track of the time when gardening! February 2013 update: this clock is still looking good despite all the stuff UK weather has thrown at it since purchase, keeps perfect time and had only one replacement battery since new...... a great buy.

Lovely indoor clock!
We bought this to replace a cheap outdoor clock which stopped working, however the quality and style of this clock lead us to try it in the kitchen and it looked so good it had to remain! The dial is especially good looking: the numerals are well printed on the dial unlike cheaper clocks which have a paper or thin plastic dial. Easy to set up - just put the battery in and within 15 minutes the time signal is received and clock keeps perfect time. Is there a downside? Yes, had to buy another clock for outdoors!

Lovely clock looks great on the garden wall
Lovely clock looks great on the garden wall. Has worked great all week but has now stopped. We have reinserted the new battery but after 3 hours still no movement other than the second hand moved to 12. Will give it 24 hours then report if still not working. Would still recommend this item as I'm sure this can be rectified. We did have a thunderstorm over night and I wondered if this would affect the radio control signal. Will put an update tomorrow to let you all know the outcome. FURTHUR UPDATE: Excellent customer service. Being sent another today to replace clock. No quibble. Told to dispose of faulty one. It's when things go wrong that you can tell how good an Amazon trader is. Well done PRIMROSE. Great customer care.

Nice clock - works well, and looks good.
I bought this for my kitchen - I liked the look, and I figured that if it was designed to withstand the elements, it could handle a little steam. APPEARANCE See photos. It's 15 inches in diameter, with a steel/iron frame, and (I think) it looks quite attractive. The front cover seems to be glass, rather than plastic - it has that cold, rigid feel to it. The back box, where the AA battery is inserted, is fairly well protected from the elements - you have to remove a close-fitting cover to access the controls. It's hard to tell what the face and hands are made of, but yes, they look like decent quality. SETTING IT UP Not exactly difficult - I stuck an AA battery into it, then hung it on the wall. The hands whizzed about for a few minutes, then stopped at the right time. Since then, it has kept perfect time. NOISE Yes, it makes a noise, but not a loud one. If I stand very close to it, and listen carefully, I can hear a quiet thud-thud-thud as the seconds tick by, but I do mean quiet - the noise is hardly there. INSTRUCTIONS The good news is that you probably won't need them. Just as well, because the bad news is that they are rubbish, and impossible to understand (photo below). SUMMARY I like it - it looks good, it keeps perfect time, and you don't need the instructions anyway.

Excellent clock for outdoors or indoors.
This is a good-looking clock that would be suitable for indoors or out. This has replaced a garden clock that was damaged when it blew off the hook in strong winds (the same thing happened to the previous one). With this one I drilled a hole in the frame at the 6 o'clock position and screwed it to the wall to provide extra stability and prevent it swinging around. These clocks are usually quite light and I think manufactureres should provide an additional optional fixing point. After installing battery and fixing to the wall, within about 15 minutes the clock had located the radio signal and was showing the right time. Too early to assess longevity of course but it looks a sturdy clock and I am very pleased with it so far.

Excellent Garden Clock
The clock is hanging above the door of the garden shed. It is large enough to be seen from the other end of a long garden. The instructions for setting the radio controlled clock are incomprehensible but quite hilarious. I merely inserted the single AA battery required and sat back. At first, nothing happened. After about an hour, the hands started to move but told the wrong time. I resisted the urge to meddle and after about six or seven hours, I noticed that it had adjusted itself to the right time. It now keeps perfect time and, hopefully, will continue to do so.
