HealthAndYoga(TM) Stainless Steel Neti Pot for Sinus Congestion (Ayurvedic JalNeti)

I've been doing nasal irrigation for 15 years now and using this Stainless Steel Neti Pot for about the last 8 years. I highly recommend it! It's well made and holds 2 cups of water so it's perfect for me since I like to run a full pot through each nostril. I rinse it well with hot water after each use and leave it upside down to dry. I also remove the spout, scrub it all well and boil all the parts for 10 minutes every couple of months to sanitize. I've seen a review talking about a problem with rust and the salt solution will pit and rust the pot if not rinsed well afterwards. I will say that my first one of these did develop a little rust on the spout where it connects to the pot but it was almost three years old by that point and I can't expect it to last forever. For the price I'd buy a new one every six months if I had to. When I started nasal irrigation I was using a large syringe to push the water through, it had a soft plastic adapter that was formed to fit the nostril. It was fine when I wasn't stuffed up, but not so great when I was. My next pot was a plastic one and it worked fine but didn't hold as much water as the syringe. My next change was to Health and Yoga's Stainless Steel Pot and all I can say is get one, keep it clean and enjoy! Edit: Feb 25, 2021 I ordered and received a new pot on Feb 1st and soon noticed the stainless inside the pot had several flaws where it isn't covered. Tried to return it today and it's not eligible for return. I'm leaving five stars for now because it's been a great neti pot for years, but maybe others are right and the quality control is gone. We shall see. But I should be able to return a defective product.

The neti pot came sealed inside a plastic bag, which was inside a lightweight beige canvas drawstring bag, which was all wrapped inside an enclosed plastic packaging bag. The item looks and feels like good quality stainless steel should. It is not heavy, and the weight mostly originates from the spout itself, as it has a slight lean in that direction when it is set down onto a soft floor. There is a clear silicone seal around the area where the spout meets the pot. There is a screwed-on nut inside of the neti pot that fastens the spout to the pot. There is also an instructions manual that comes with the neti pot. The reason I purchased this particular pot is because I am working on becoming plastic-free, and this pot should last a lifetime because it can be sterilized repeatedly without issue. I also wanted something that looks aesthetically pleasing.

Wish I could return. I thought stainless steel would be good however, after washing this out minor rust appears around the inside sprout which would be a health risk. There is no balance to the pot so it continues to fall forward toward the spout. I waited too long to open it and therefore it can't be returned. In my opinion this was a very bad purchase. I think they should still take it back because it is not suppose to rust and that could cause an infection.

As someone with chronic nasal congestion and a CPAP, a good neti pot is essential. Because this one is much larger than any I've seen, it lets me wash through both nostrils on one filling unless I have a really bad cold. The all-metal construction makes it ideal for travel. I got my first Health and Yoga neti pot in 2007; it's still perfectly usable, but I wanted to keep it with my travel kit, so I bought this one. It's a little larger than the old one, which makes it just a bit harder to hold; I slipped a couple of rubber bands around the neck to give it a better grip. It would probably not fit as well into my travel toiletries bag, but that's what the older one is for. Your mileage may vary on that. It takes up much less space than you would expect because you can put things in it, like your bottle of salt. A couple of caveats: * Without modifications this pot would probably not work well for someone with very small hands. One could probably attach a handle, though. * The steel is not as stainless as it should be; my old one developed some rust inside around the place where the spout joins the body. Because the spout makes it unbalanced, that's where water collects, and salt water is particularly corrosive. Make sure to wash it thoroughly with plain tap water, and store it either upside-down or with the spout propped up on something. I keep mine in a bamboo tray next to the sink, and the rim is exactly the right height. * If you decide to store it upside-down, put it on something that won't be water-damaged or develop mildew; a glass tray would be perfect.

I had been using a twice-broken-and-repaired ceramic pot and decided my next one would not be breakable. After deciding I did not want plastic, I arrived at this one. Out of the box, you can tell it's a solid, well-built product made to last. It's pretty large, so if compactness is a priority, you may want to take that into account. I like the size, though, as it holds a lot of solution, eliminating refills during the process. Some reviewers have noted some corrosion, but if you don't let saltwater sit in it for prolonged periods and clean it properly after each use (as directed, and which you should do with any pot) I don't see this as an issue. The included informational booklet is nice too, especially if you're new to neti, in an age where I've come to expect a slip of paper with broken English for directions. I expect to use this pot for many, many years, even if I drop it a couple times.

I've used this pot for several years and am finally buying a new one (same model) because I'm seeing some rust spots in the bottom. This is primarily from storing the pot right side up after use so it doesn't dry properly. Please be advised that stainless steel will rust if not rinsed and dried. After each use, rinse the pot with clear water and store in upside down. The best of this pot is its size. It give a longer and more thorough rinse. As for the Jala Neti practice, it's the best method for cleaning sinuses for those who suffer from allergies and sinus infections. However my ENT doctor has advised that it shouldn't be used excessively for fear of washing away beneficial flora that live within our sinus cavities.

This is the second neti pot like this that I have bought over the years.. Unfortunately the first one I had, I left a teaspoon of salt in it without using it one day and it got moisture in it. Then the corrosion started. If you take good care of it, and wash it out after every use, it will last just about forever. I love this size because it holds so much more than the drugstore variety. Enough to thoroughly cleanse both nostrils and your adenoids. You can't go wrong with investing in this one, and it's unbreakable and high quality stainless. Just don't leave salt in it like I did!! :-) I'd give this ten stars if I could.

I love having a stainless steel option but it really needs a lid to be functional enough to effectively reach the upper sinus’ that are found in between the eyebrows without spilling.

I liked the product. thank you very much. Although, there was some confusion regarding the delivery, compensation was given for this for the late delivery.

For those who know what Neti is, this is an excellent product. It was recommended by my yoga teacher and does exactly what it is supposed to.
