My sister really wanted one and she was treated to a Sony MP3 Walkman for her birthday because she wanted something that was simple to operate (she's a technophobe), simple to understand with quality sound and good battery life i.e. a long time between charge and running out of juice etc. Happily, my sister hasn't looked back since buying hers and told me I should consider buying a Sony MP3 for myself. I have had Sony products for years which are still going strong … but, because of my past experiences of MP3 players, I was in two minds: would this later version of my sister's Sony be as user friendly? Bought this to replace the identical Sony Walkman that I ruined when I went swimming unbeknown to me that it was in my swimming shorts. Handy size and quick to charged. Annoying how it turns on at the slightest touch (eg something leaning against it in a bag or accidentally touching the front screen, leading to a drained battery if not noticed.
