I received this this morning, it fits together just wait for the click and off you go. It suggests, if you need it to, to remove a section, but I tried this and I don't see how this is possible. It doesn't really matter anyway because I have heard that a larger hoop is a lot easier to use than a smaller one. The colours alternate bright pink and a nice grey, and I was amused to find that the pink sections match my sports bra. Also in the box are some brief instructions. I don't know why I found it so amusing that it tells you to "fling" it to the left, but let me tell you, it's exactly what you have to do. Just a tip for you lefties out there, the left thing is supposedly for someone who's right handed, so if you're struggling try going to the right. Review: Hoola hoop heaven for a returning hoola hooper! - I'm a returning hoola-hopper (I hoola-hooped as a child and it's been decades since I last used a hoola hoop - I'm now in my late 30s!). So was just thinking of upping my fitness by going back to hoola-hooping as I reckon it's a really fun way to exercise without having to go to a gym or zumba class. And this was the answer. It's really easy to assemble. I'm 5'1.5" so I had to leave out one section to make the circumference of the ring just right for me, getting the size right makes the difference between hoola-hooping heaven or hell - how do you know it's the right size for you? Well, it you stand the ring in front of you, the top rim should be at the level of your navel. Mine came just under my navel by about 1.5 inches but that was just fine. Anyway, the padding was good on this hoola-hoop; however, I did have to put on two vests before exercising so I had a bit more protection from the frictional forces generated by the hoola hoop. It was like riding a bike really. Even after decades of not doing the hoola, I found that you do get the hang of it. I think for non-hoola hoopers, it would still be easy to learn, just be patient. It takes time. Get the ring size right, then position the ring at waist level, then fling it in the direction you want to gyrate. When I say fling, I mean really throw it to your side with force because it is this initial push that will keep your ring going. Then move your body accordingly. If you find the ring starting to slow and fall down, you need to gyrate faster to keep the hoola hoop twirling round and prevent it from falling. Practice makes perfect. This is day 2 of me using it and I didn't notice any bruising on my midsection from yesterday's hoola hoop session - I do feel sore (good sore), but that's only to be expected. Will update this feedback in a few months to see how many inches I lose on my waist. Very happy with purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great exercise for busy people *by B***5 on 1 April 2017* I've had one of these for nearly two weeks and so far I am very, very happy with it. I haven't hula hooped for probably 40 odd years (!) so it took a little while to get the hang of it, but I could feel the benefits straight away. I'm easily fitting in 2 or 3 sessions a day, my waist is definitely tighter and I am losing weight and building stamina daily. It is great low impact exercise and because it can be done whenever I have a spare few minutes it's sustainable, whereas finding an hour or so to go to the gym three times a week just isn't (for me) The hoop is very well made and sturdy. The pieces clicked firmly together and the padding is robust and is staying in place.
