And as I say, although experienced, the first use was an eye opener ...no bruising but you definitely know you have used it. I thought it might be too large - 100 cms - (I'm 5,2") but no it's fine. So, this is a brilliant piece of fitness kit, not a toy. Buy it and get back that waist (and flat stomach!) I hear British women are losing! As to the foam coming off, can't see it happening myself if you are wearing a gym kit (soft clothes) but jeans' studs and belts could damage it I suppose. If you have forgotten how, or never hooped before, buy a kid's one to practice (they are under a £5 in toy shops) and when you can do at least 20 rotations, switch to the lowest weight. You'll be so pleased you did. Much more fun than doing 30 minutes of crunches!!! I do this for around 5 minutes most mornings & I do think my waist has trimmed down a little from it. I am planning on doing it for 20 minutes as advised in the booklet as I think this would make a big difference. You can just do it whilst watching TV!
