2011 F-150 - FITS and is not $80 from the Dealer
Oh yeah.. you guessed it…this is not the first Fuel Door cover we’ve put on our truck. It’s an old Border Patrol vehicle and it now takes us off road over bumps and dirt. The first door “fell off” and we went to Ford to get a replacement - mind you this is plastic, not titanium with diamond inlays and the Dealer wanted $80 for the “UNPAINTED” version. Our truck is white the unpainted is black. I didn’t dare ask about the White / Painted version - probably have to take a 2nd mortgage out or better yet finance a new Truck at a lower cost than this door. I was darn sure this “investment” wasn’t falling off again, so I Superglued it to the fuel filler door. It didn’t fall off, but the bumpy abuse on the truck caused the spring to break on the door. That part is cheap and I ordered a new one with an improved spring, but it doesn’t come with the door cover. I pondered what Christmas gifts would have to be returned to cover the cost of yet another door cover, when I found this online and CHEAP! I can say it’s exactly like the one they sold me at the dealer, it’s black, boring and snaps right into place and YES, I superglued this bad boy AGAIN, but now I’m not afraid of the price to replace it. The Dealer can suck it!
