I purchased this roll of Velcro Heavy Duty Stick On for a number of small projects rather than for one specific task. The adhesive is surprisingly strong, especially if left to cure for a couple of days. I found it incredibly difficult to remove from plastic with there literally being no chance of it coming away on its own. I don't know if it would get the same kind of adhesion to painted walls (mainly due to certain paints not sticking very well to plastered walls etc.) and I certainly wouldn't use it to hang up tools on the wall as illustrated on the box! I think sometimes you simply can't beat nails or screws and rawlplugs for some tasks. Whilst this Velcro strip may be more convenient by not needing to drill holes etc. you will more than likely need to repaint the surface after removing this strip from the wall just as you would need to fill a drilled hole. The roll I received came in a Velcro branded box and the backing of the hook and loop strips is also Velcro branded. The strips have a very strong adhesive smell which took me by surprise when I opened the box. If you've ever smelt sellotape it's like that but about 50 times stronger! One thing I'm a little disappointed with was the hook part of this strip. The 'hook' part is spaced out quite far apart and while the 'loop' strip that comes with this sticks really well to it (to the extent that it's actually very tough to pull apart), other Velcro or hook and loop stuff simply doesn't stick to this very well at all. So, it's not really 'compatible' with anything apart from itself. Pros: - Strong adhesive especially on plastic surfaces - Plenty of hook and loop strip in the box - Easy to cut and apply - Velcro branded Cons: - The 'hook' part is not really compatible with 'loop' parts from similar products due to the hook arrangement - Smells very strong initially

Amazing heavy duty velcro that lives up to its name in every way. Better than other stick to bonds like paste or silicone, gorilla glue 🤪 I've used this for various jobs, it is even waterproof after 1 year on the bottom edge of a shower screen. Smooth glass, ceramic has no problem sticking but make sure the area is squeaky clean and dry beforehand or you'll make me look to be telling porkies 😲 So try it you will not be disappointed. Good value, easy to use, cut and stick wherever you want...

This is very good velcro tape. Glue is very strong. I used so far in couple of places and is great. Very recommended.

Extreme Velcro power, but still a quite weak glue when in a humid environment.

I used this to mount a small fire extinguisher in a location where drilling holes wasn't a good idea, and it has held up impressively well. The tape has now been holding the extinguisher in place for around two years without coming loose or showing any signs of giving up, which is far more than I expected from a stick-on fixing solution. The hook and loop design also makes it easy to remove the extinguisher if needed while still keeping it securely mounted day to day. Obviously the weight you're asking it to hold matters, but for lighter items and situations where drilling isn't practical, this proved to be much stronger than I expected and I'd happily use it again for similar jobs.

Before coming across Velcro by accident within Amazon, I had no idea that it could be bought separately rather than just incorporated in objects such as garments, tools and so on. This double-sided Velcro can be cut to size which is convenient and avoids waste. I use it to make sure that stick-on hooks and stick-on lights stay attached to walls and cabinets because I find that the adhesive on stick-on hooks and stick-on lights is poor quality and the hooks and lights soon fall off. After some months, I have to change the Velcro but this is much better than the hook or light falling off only a few days after fitting it. Note that the Velcro will lose its adhesion more quickly if applied in a damp area but will still last longer than the so-called adhesive on the back of stick-on items. In my own circumstances, I have found this Velcro to be effective and good value since it allows me to use objects which, apart from the adhesive used thereon, are perfectly satisfactory. I am sure that in time I will find further uses. Recommended. 5 stars.
