Although these water pump pliers are a bit expensive and quite small they are very good quality. Very handy for working in tight spaces, easy to adjust and grip really well.

I carry mine in my tool bag for various smaller jobs like pulling nails from jammed nail guns. Lots of uses and knipex quality which is always beyond comparison. 6 inch is a good size for a tool bag. Anything smaller will be harder to grip unless you have small hands.
