Guillotines are better than Rotary cutters and here's why
Just got this and pretty impressed so far.Very sturdy but light, it feels well built. Guidelines all seem accurate. Like all guillotines, it's not a blade but a sharp flat edge and it cuts super sharp (for those that don't know these things, that's how a guillotine works). Very impressive.Advantages over a rotary cutter....You can easily see where you are cutting as there's no annoying guide rail. You can angle the paper and also cut pieces larger than A3 (with 2 separate cuts) as again, there's no annoying guide rail in the way so you can fit larger sheets of paper/card under the blade. You can cut very thin paper. I just tried it on a tissue and it worked! This would ruck up on a rotary.Only concern is, the sprung lever mechanism feels a little wobbly. Like it could misalign with a lot of use. I'll update this review if it does but right now, it's excellent and far better than any rotary cutter I've ever used.

Generally speaking though it seems very good. Far better than one I bought from Hobbycraft ...
Long lever of blade makes it difficult to see what you are doing. Generally speaking though it seems very good. Far better than one I bought from Hobbycraft recently. This one cuts in a reasonably straight line. Always a good thing for a guillotine. Lightning fast delivery too.

Great
I bought this so I could trim my drawings down for my college class and it it really good. However the clamp beside the blade is really annoying. I keep hitting my fingers with it by accident and as it is clamped by the blade itself if you want to make tiny ajustments before you cut you need to bring the blade right up.Other than that it is a good product for a great price.

Beware the markings
Good well proportioned cutter giving me more room to work with A4 on the long edge. Only problem I have with it is that the guide line markings on it easily rub off when you try to clean it and I don't think that they are well thought off as with the cutter itself. I wouldn't recommend it if you need a printed guide but it does work well as a cutter.

Stopped cutting after 2 months.
Worked well initially but has stopped cutting all the way through paper, ripping it instead leaving a ragged edge. I have tried sharpening the blade but it has made no difference. I have only had the product 2 months and therefore requested a refund but was asked to post the item back using my own money. As the item is so large and heavy it will cost almost as much as buying a different guillotine. Not impressed at all at the slow customer service and unreasonable postage expectations.

Super priced product
Arrive super quick and I was pleasantly suprised by the quality of the item considering the price the whole thing is metal not just the blade, but its light enough to carry about easily. The blade is on a thick metal arm so feels sturdy and cuts well. It has guide lines for cutting for A7-A3 andthe board is all round a couple of inches bigger than A3 so A3+ can be used/ cutdown easily. All in all a great buy why bother spending 2 or 3 times as much? this does the job (I bought it for cutting prints to size)
