I purchased this to enable Apple Car Play and so far, it’s working perfectly. My last cable was just a small and 6” long type and, wasn’t durable enough and stopped working after only 6 months! This one is far superior and it’s handy having the “stretchy” coils so that it can stay connected and charging when I need to use/look at my iPhone (I only do this whilst stationary/not driving officer!) So, 5 Stars from me, at the time of writing!

I use my iPhone in my car as my navigation system and with a Bluetooth transmitter for Spotify to my car audio. The best place for my phone is on my dashboard with the mount stuck to the window. My power for the cable is below the gear stick so it is quite a stretch to the phone.The first few times I tried to use the cable it contracted an was pulling the phone out of the mount, not ideal when driving, but I stretched the cable by hand several times which meant it contracted a little less and it was fine.I am please with it, and it means less cables draped across the dash, but if you need a significant length or stretch be prepared to take a few minutes to prepare it before driving the first time

This is fantastic for the car. Takes up no space at all and is much easier for my phone to be connected to my usb in the car. Was using a lightning cable that was long, kinked and generally in the way. Why I hadn’t looked into getting one of these sooner I don’t know. Really pleased with this, looks tidier in the car as well.

Replaced a long normal lightning cable with this so it stays in one place. Great quality product feels very well made. One nice bonus is it has a small light on the lightning end so you can always find the end of the cable in the dark.Tested it works fine for CarPlay.

The cable has now given up the ghost less than a year later but it was nice while it lasted. Now it says Failed to recognise device. Super annoying! Time for me to buy another one.

Used in my car to link to car play neat when attached

This looks great but doesn't work well. It would not stay connected to CarPlay in my car. I had to fiddle with it so much to get it to stay connected and in the end I've chucked it in the bin. I bought an Apple USB to USB-C lead for CarPlay instead and it works perfect.

I wanted a cable that could be tucked away discreetly in my car and this was the one. It works great with my iPhone and seemingly charges at full speed. The illuminated lightning connector makes it easy to find in the dark and it's definitely come in useful a few times. CarPlay for the most part works really well but there have been a few rare instances when I've had to disconnect/reconnect the cable for it to work, like I said, it is rare but it does happen.
