Powerful, Reliable, and Built to Last – A True Lifesaver
I recently purchased the NOCO Boost GB150, and it’s easily one of the most dependable tools I’ve added to my kit. The build quality is outstanding—solid, rugged, and clearly designed to handle tough conditions. The 3000A of starting power is no gimmick; it jump-started a completely dead 4x4 diesel without hesitation, and it’s reassuring to know it can handle engines up to 9.0L petrol and 7.0L diesel. The unit is very easy to use, even for those not mechanically inclined. The safety features, like spark-proof technology and reverse polarity protection, give you peace of mind every time you connect it. The built-in flashlight is powerful and handy in emergencies, especially at night, and the USB ports make it a useful portable power bank for charging phones or other devices on the go. Battery life is impressive—it holds its charge for months, so it’s always ready when needed. It’s not the smallest jump starter on the market, but the performance more than makes up for the size. Overall, the GB150 is a top-quality product that delivers serious power and reliability. Perfect for anyone who wants total confidence their vehicle will start, no matter the situation. Worth every penny for its performance and peace of mind.

Easier to use than jump starting from another car
An essential device for starting cars with a dead or low battery. Small enough to carry in the car boot, yet powerful enough to even start my 4.6litre V8 Range Rover after a long spell of little use. This lithium battery technology is a lot lighter that traditional lead acid batteries. Shopped around for a good price, which was a lot lower than a high street chain store. Thoroughly recommended purchase.

Treat it with care and it will do you proud!
After a lot of research, I purchased the Noco GB150 and this is an 'After 6 Months Review' I'm pleased to report that to date, the Noco has met all challenges with no issues whatsoever and has 'saved the day' on more than one occassion. The LCD Voltmeter is a nice, sensible feature and an excellent, clearly visible starting point for any Battery Issues. Sadly and most puzzlingly, this feature is not included on the newer GBX models, which is the main reason that I opted for a GB model. I've used it to start, amongst other vehicles, a Kubota KX-61 Mini Digger (after a colleague's Jump Pack just wasn't up to it), a Transit Van (with a totally flat battery) and a Land Rover Discovery and each time, it has started each vehicle with ease and with plenty of power to spare. As such, I'm pleased to say that you don't have to recharge it after every use, more like after multiple uses! I've read lots of reviews stating that the Noco has died, and I suspect that, in a lot of cases, it is due to the owner has not READ AND FULLY UNDERSTOOD, the instructions! If you connect the Noco incorrectly and then override the Safety Feature, IT WILL MOST DEFINITELY DESTROY the Noco, and you will end up with an expensive paperweight! Read and understand the instructions, treat it with respect, use/discharge it regularly (i.e., monthly), then charge it fully and I'm sure, it will, like mine, do you proud. I went the whole hog and purchased the Mains Charger and a Protective Hard Case, both of which I thoroughly recommend as good and wise choices. Without the dedicated Mains Charger, it takes ages to fully charge via USB and a Hard Protective Case is a must, as the bag that Noco provide, offers only dust protection. IMHO, it is still one of the Best Jump Starter out there at the moment! Highly Recommended, even if you also have to buy a Hard Case and Mains Charger.

Totally useless
Bought this to start a JCB on the farm - just had new battery but needs a bit of a boost on cold days - usually do it by using jump leads from the landrover but thought this would be easier. Wired up, fully charged noco 150, all the flashing lights came on, and turned the key. Nothing happened. Noco sat there clicking.. showed 12.7 volts on the readout, which according to the instructions shows a healthy battery, but it did absolutely NOTHING to start the engine. Tried on another battery - same thing - sat there clicking and doing nothing. Pressed the override button - nothing happened. USELESS. Put battery on charge with traditional charger for an hour or two and she started fine. Noco instructions dont even mention what the clicking is - get on the forums and everyone says it clicks if the battery is dead. Well this battery is anything but dead, its brand new, 12.7 volts, shows green in the battery condition window, but needs a boost the turn the engine on a cold day - that's all. This is a useless gimmick - don't bother buying - you are wasting your money.

Excellent booster
I bought this after seeing the mechanic use one when coming out to my stricken campervan with a flat battery. It started the van up immediately.Everyone with a vehicle should have one.

Pleased I took the plunge
Topped it up to full charge and then used it on a cold 4.5 litre John Deere tractor. It’s a cold day and the tractor hasn’t been used for over a month and the engine was barely turning over on the key. Connected up the NOCO GB150 and (on the second attempt) it fired into life. I regard this as a very stiff test and it passed with flying colours. I’d spent a year thinking about buying it to replace my big heavy lead-acid jump starter and I’m very pleased. It’s a lot of money but worth it for the job it does. It’s a fair bit bigger than I expected - the size of a box of tissues - but I guess that’s how it can pack such a punch.

Powerful Jump Starter with Heavy-Duty Performance
The NOCO Boost GB150 delivers impressive power with its 3000A peak current, easily jump-starting large engines including diesel trucks. It’s built tough and includes safety features like spark-proof technology and reverse polarity protection. The integrated flashlight and USB charging ports are useful extras, though the unit is bulky and not very lightweight. Battery life is excellent, but recharging takes time. Ideal for professionals or those needing reliable roadside backup.

Works On A 2 Battery Vehicle. Be Aware Of Sparking Potential.
First off, this product arrived on time and undamaged. Initial Thoughts: This product was packaged very well and it seems quick sturdy and well made. It arrived with a minor charge and took 3 “full” days to fully charge it to 100% while utilizing the included USB power cable in a North American Wall Outlet with USB adapter. Why We Bought It: My wife and I own a H1 6.5L diesel dual turbo (two 12V batteries system) and we live in a region where the days typically stay below freezing and even in the negatives for weeks on end. This longevity of cold weather frequently results in damaged and drained vehicle batteries in our area. In the past, we wasted a lot of money on new batteries until we bought the NOCO Genius G4 Charger. Unfortunately, we cannot utilize it as a trickle charger due to the distance the vehicle has to set away from a power outlet, but we can easily remove the batteries to repair or “boost” them when needed. To date, we have been able to revive many (6 batteries), but not all, damaged and/or drained batteries. The G4 Charger is a hit and miss with us honestly (as our review on that product states); but overall, when it works, it saves us a lot of money instead of frequently purchasing new batteries. Due to our understanding of that product's built quality, we felt purchasing the NOCO Genius Boost Pro GB150 would be a safe bet. We also felt that as long as we can start a vehicle with the GB150, we can at least get it to where we need it and then us the G4 to fully charge it and/or repair it at a later time. In short, the GB150 does seem very well made and sturdy. Before I progress, it is also important to mention that prior to taking the leap in purchasing this product, we even attempted to keep our H1 attached to 4 interconnect 9W NOCO Solar Panels (trickle charging system), but we quickly discovered they are useless for a 2 battery system (even in the summer months). That being stated, the panels are good for charging cell phones and other electronic devices over a "long'" period of time in “direct” sunlight. Since our prior attempts with 4 NOCO solar panels didn't help us maintain a continuous charge and since other battery jumper devices never had enough amps to jump our 2 battery vehicle, we bought this NOCO Genius Boost Pro GB150, charged it upon receiving it, and have waited for a good day to test it. Initial Conditions Tested In and the Results: We have not driven our H1 in 3 freezing weeks (via being out of town) and today we awoke to 7 inches of snow and -5 degrees F. After attempting to start the H1, there was not enough power to crank it over prior to using the GB150. However, once we attached the GB150, it only took 2 cranking attempts and the H1 was purring with no issues. As such, this product works! However, we did experience one flaw. Supposedly, this system is supposed to prevent sparking unless you override the system and turn off its safety features on a fully drained battery (below 2V); however, on the first crank it sparked significantly and suddenly. Since the H1 is so wide and since the view was restrictive by the engine when we cranked it, we were unable to see what initiated the spark. On the second attempt, we checked the connections (which seemed fine) and attempted to crank it again without touching any clamps between the battery terminals and the GB150. This time there were no sparks and it started right up. So you may ask, why did it spark the first time and not the second when no cables were touched? We have no idea. Perhaps we missed something the first time, but we wanted to warn everyone that there “is” a potential for sparking so please be careful. Perhaps there was some corrosion on the terminal or perhaps some snow (since it was snowing and we did this outside) created a short or some sort. In either case, this product “did work” which makes it a good investment for us. We hope it lasts and gives us years of problem-free results. How Long To Recharge After Use? It took approximately 5.5 hours to recharge the GB150 back to 100% after utilizing it this morning. Again, this is utilizing a wall adapter and “not” a computer or cigarette lighter adapter as it states it is capable of doing. Conclusion: With everything considered. This product is well made, sturdy, and does what it’s advertised to do. However, since the first cranking attempt resulted in unknown sparking, it is important to remember you are working with electricity and you should always utilized the proper safety protection (goggles, gloves, etc) when operating this booster. That being stated, in utilizing this product with the NOCO Genius G4 Charger, we finally have a winning system that is saving us money. We hope this review helps.
