Yes I believe it is safe for children to use as my little 8yr old brother has been using it for a year now with no problem at all.

If this product is aluminium free, then why does it have potassium aluminium as one of the ingredients?

It is stated that it is free of aluminium chlorohydrate, which is a synthetically made product. There is only one ingredient in this, which is potassium alum. Alum is a type of chemical compound which is a salt of aluminium, and is a naturally mined mineral salt, which has a long history of safe use as a deodorant ingredient.

does this need reapplying during the day? if so, does that mean you have to wash your armpits again?

Whether or not you need to reapply this product during the day would depend on the amount that you perspire and the activities that you are participating in. If you find that people are avoiding you or getting up and changing seats when you sit next to them on public transport you may need to consider reapplying the product in which case you should be okay as long as you don't try and put it on dry. I have however found this to be a very effective and the only one that I have found that doesn't cause irritation.

It says on clean skin everyday. Does this mean that you need to clean your armpits everyday before application?

I have found that after washing and applying to the wet skin (thoroughly as it is a solid block till moistened) the longest it would work was 5 days. This was a test, not my usual practice! Yes, you need to wash first and when clean and damp - use the block. It has no scent to cover up smells that are already there. Everyday is not necessary if the block is working. Everyone has different underarm skin conditions though - so just go by sense of smell as to how often it is needed.
