This is an excellent piece of kit. Easy to use. It picks up 4G easily using its sensitive internal aerial and switches seamlessly to the next best data option if 4G is not available. The MIMO aerial ports are the real plus for difficult 3G/4G reception areas. These are quite delicate so I recommend they are used with short 'pigtails' rather than thick inflexible cables to reduce the mechanical strain. It has a long battery life and good wifi range even on the lowest power setting. Can operate on the 5GHz wifi band which the later iPads can use as well as the usual wifi band ( it can be configured to use both at the same time). Very pleased with the performance. It is very important to get the right mobile data Sim card from your provider. A regular phone Sim may well not immediately connect to 4G (perhaps 3G only, if at all). Light and well engineered with removeable battery. The unit allows texts to be sent and received.

Pleased with the performance. I would however suggest you buy external ariels to assist with reception. Huge improvement with mine.

I use this on my narrowboat. It’s plugged permanently into power so I can’t rate the battery life but it’s easy to set up, plugs into the external aerial and gets a consistently good 4G signal. The WiFi range isn’t quite as good as the Huawei unit I used before this (but then the Huawei died and I couldn’t get another with an aerial socket which is why I ended up with this) in that the iPad needs holding aloft if I try to connect from the back of the boat (with the Netgear being at the front) but once it’s connected it does stay connected. I found if I used the 5GHz WiFi, the laptop kept dropping its connection and giving me issues so I switched back to just using 2.4GHz and that has been fine. There’s an app to set this thing up and monitor it, which is easy enough to use or you can do so with a web browser, which I tend to prefer.

Works very well, the build quality and touchscreen are great. The touchscreen is nice and it's easy to navigate which for me puts it years ahead of other portable routers that lack a screen like this and mean you have to log into the device in order to change things on the fly (i.e. 3G to 4G).It improved on the poor 3/4g signal I was getting even before (on a TP-Link 4G modem) I put it into the Smart Crade (DC112A-100EUS). Noteably my upload speed jumped up significantly. Using this gives me a more stable and consistent internet connection.Works great in the UK and the Middle East.I can't recommend it enough.

For something that promises so much it delivers so little. For a start the screen is not responsive then if you happen to be roaming the it'll cut you off until you reset it. There is always an issue with this unit. Now it has simply stopped working. AND I cannot get through to a human at Netgear to support me, therefore there is no support. You are on your own and there will be woes. Don't do it.

Great piece of kit: I live in a poor-signal area; and the Aircard gives me a good connection, and looks for better signals on the same network if it can find them (Currently two 'bars' on 4g, dropping back to H/H+ (WhateverTF they are!) as I stream video from YouTube). Works 'out of the box' with a half-battery charge (top that up straight away to keep your battery 'fit'). Intuitive, configurable and infomative touchscreen UI. I use PaYG on 3 in the UK, so purchased a 12gb/365day SIM (The Aircard is unlocked, so I can shop around, if necessary). Battery life seems fine after a full charge (82% after an hour of use, so I am guessing that I will get six hours from it - more if I reduce the screen brightness and timeout).Drawbacks: Expensive, There are cheaper Mobile WiFi options, but this is worth every one of my Earth £s, for the touchscreen UI (Well played Netgear, a lot of thought went into that and it is appreciated!), and build.No slot for a MicroSD card ( I did not buy it for on-the-go data storage, but it would be a useful facility).SIM slot only holds a 3FF Micro-SIM.

I have owned many mobile wifi units in the past but this is by far the best. Easy to setup, clear vibrant screen with all the info you need to know. Includes a count down calender to your next top up so that you can see exactly how much data that you have used and have left. Very customable via the website. Options include vpn, dmz, port forwarding etc. So pleased that I purchased this. Previous reviews mention that you have to manually configure apn settings for Giffgaff. This is no longer the case. I simply inserted my sim and was good to go!

I bought this for a number of reasons - as a secondary WAN connection at home as well as the option to take it away with me and get a local SIM card and thus avoid expensive data roaming charges. I've used earlier models in the past which all worked well, and this is no exception.Setup it super easy, simply insert SIM, power on, connect to it via Wifi and you can access a management portal to configure the rest. The display is nice - clearly shows data usage which is good.Hooked it up as a secondary WAN over wifi on my Draytek 2860LN, worked really well. Connection to LTE seems strong (and stable, arf) so so far so good.I've since bought the cradle to go with it which also works well.Only slight issue so far is that I left it powered on with the cable in - the screen told me it had enabled a battery saving mode due to long term charging - no worries - except the screen had effectively locked up - was impossible to clear it without pulling the battery out.But other than that, so far so good, and seems to do the job.

This is a great portable 4G LTE WiFi router. It supports multiple devices connected to it.You can hook it up to external antennas when the signal is weak and there is a nice cradle you can get that has a stronger WiFi signal and supports dual source connections (e.g. cable + 4G LTE) which can be used in load sharing or fall back modes.I've used in Canada, US and Australia without any issues from any carrier.

Netgear AirCard's offers some tremendous products for mobility solutions. With the right rate plan and carrier, this will more than meet a users requirements.

Buen router móvil que utilizo en mis viajes y en mi 2ª residencia con mi ordenador portátil. Proporciona una buena cobertura de la señal en lugares en los que antes era deficiente, fácil de configurar (la tarjeta de MOVISTAR lo hizo automáticamente). Además te permite conocer el volumen de datos utilizados así como recibir y leer los mensajes enviados a tu nº de teléfono. Tiene conexiones para una antena externa que en caso de utlizarla aumenta si cabe sus bondades en cobertura. Asimismo me ha permitido disfrutar de manera correcta de contenidos OnLine (Fútbol música y películas). Correcta duración de la batería.

Si tratta di un ottimo prodotto con molte possibilità di configurazione e prestazioni elevate.Il display è be visibile e riporta tutti i dati di cui bisogna tener traccia, inoltre grazie ad esso molte delle configurazioni le si possono fare "on the fly" direttamente dal router senza doversi connettere via browser.Supporta reti wifi 2.4G e 5G anche contemporaneamente è possibile inoltre settare 2 SSID con configurazioni miste, entrambe 2.4 entrambe 5G, una e una, è inoltre possibile settare la seconda rete wifi come guest con isolamento dei dispositivi e impostare quanti dispositivi possono essere attivi su una o l'altra rete contemporaneamente (per un massimo di 15).Lato router oltre ai settaggi LTE/3G o possibile configurare la rete Lan/Dhcp e altri parametri come ad esempio il VPN Passthrough,inoltre caratteristica che pochi di questi dispositivi hanno è dotato di: Inoltro delle porte, DMZ e UPNP.infine è possibile creare dei filtri per bloccare o consentire il traffico su determinate porte.se connesso via usb al pc si attiva il Tethering consentendo di usarlo senza avere una scheda wifi.Non posso confermare le velocità di picco della connessione LTE in quanto nella mia zona il massimo raggiungibile è 54Mb in download e 26 in upload (con la stessa sim nello smartphone raggiungo i 46/21) ma il segnale è stabile e io non mi lamento...se capiterò in qualche città dove la rete vodafone è più spinta rifarò il test e aggiornerò la recensione.attualemte è connessa al pc tramite una chiavetta Wifi ac e la connessione fra i 2 apparati resta stabile a 5 tacchette e 867MBpsLa batteria merita un discorso a se.se utilizzato con una sola rete Wifi attiva su 2.4g e un dispositivo connesso, la durata si attesta vicina ai valori dichiarati, con una durata media di 9 ore e qualcosina a fronte delle 10 dichiarate.con rete 5G e un dispositivo si scende intorno alle 8 orela differenza però diventa notevole quando si attivano entrambe le reti Wifi con l'autonomia che crolla intorno alle 3 ore / 3 ore e mezza.Ho provato a metterlo sotto torchio in condizioni esasperate con 2 reti attive 3 dispositivi connessi alla rete 2.4g, 3 alla rete 5G di cui 4 pc facevano navigazione "standard", uno smartphone appena ripristinato ha riscaricato tutto l'aggiornamento e reinstallato tutte le app (tra update e app circa 3Gb e un pc faceva il download di un gioco da 30Gb (battlefield 1 mediante ubiplay) .la batteria si scaricava vista d'occhio e anche collegandolo al suo alimentatore non riusciva a ricaricarsi restando fissa a 22%Nel complesso io sono più che soddisfatto dell'acquisto (tra l'altro a prezzo ridotto con l'offerta gamesweek), nell'uso normale con il mio pc anche dopo sessioni di qualche ora a battlefield il modem resta tiepido e la connessione è stabile ed avendo un contratto con 200GB mensili in LTE mi permette di usarlo in sostituzione dell'Adsl telecom che qui la sera non va oltre i 2,5/3MbpsInoltre avendo il camper è praticissimo da portare con se in viaggio, tant'è che me lo sto portando dietro anche per lavoro al posto del Tethering fatto via telefono.gli unici appunti che mi sento di fare su questo dispositivo sono:- La potenza del Wifi non è molto elevata, anche settandola al massimo della potenza non si puo' stare lontanissimi dal router.- Il display touch è comodissimo, ma talvolta tenendolo in tasca si selezionano dei comandi involontariamente.- il router ha una presa micro-Usb 3 ma il cavo in dotazione è micro-Usb 2, funzionare funziona lo stesso ma per quale motivo? sul manuale e nella scheda tecnica non si parla di Usb3 ma funziona, se collego il cavo usb2 al pc la Lan generata ha velocita di 150Mbps con un cavo Usb3 mio la Lan si connette a 300Mbps, strano non sia documentata.P.S.Un ultima nota per il Tethering usb, quasi tutti i dispositivi di questo tipo per farli funzionare correttamente va modificato a mano il driver che windows 7/8/8.1/10 a 64bit installa di default, in quanto viene installato il driver generico "Remote NDIS USB", tale driver manda in tilt la gestione delle reti di windows e ci si ritrova con alcune app che navigano altre no e spesso non si riesce ad accedere al pannello di controllo/configurazione di rete.In tal caso selezionando dalla Gestione periferiche di windows selezionate la scheda e poi -> aggiorna driver -> cerca software nel computer -> scegli manualmente il driver e togliendo la spunta su "mostra hardware comatibile" si clicca su avanti, si sceglie nell'elenco driver produttore "microsoft" e come modello "Scheda RNDIS6 USB" mi raccomando la "6" confermate e la rete inizierà a funzionare a meraviglia.questo non lo conto però come un difetto in quanto capita con moltissimi dispositivi, tp-link, Zte, huawei e altri.

Mais cela n'est pas nécessaire pour la plupart des situations d'utilisation.Même en voiture cela reste très performant tant que le réseau est accessible.A ce propos, ce modem s'adapte aux différents formats suivants :3G / H / H+ / 4GIl propose également un double compteur, l'un pour la consommation de données en temps réel, et l'autre en jours restants avant la facturation.L'appareil propose également la possibilité de recevoir et envoyer des sms.Tout est facilement paramétrable sur l'écran tactile. Une application iPad spécifique permet également de compléter la prise en main et le réglage: Routeur, filtrage, liste noir des appareils connectés, etc...Chargeur fourni et ultra performant, permettant une charge très rapide. L'autonomie est un grand point fort autour des 10 heures.Petit plus, on peut utiliser l'appareil comme source d'énergie pour une recharge USB d'un téléphone par exemple en cas de besoin = fonction booster.Achat sans aucun regret!
