Had mine for a couple of months and now it doesn't work ? Light comes on when dark only for an hour or so then stays off all night ?

mine comes on for a couple of mins then have to dance about to active again so I can see the dog in garden at night, must be time of year apart from getting some that are wired in.

Mine isn't. Lasted a year, probably a bit less, and now dead and full of water. You can see water in the front behind the glass where the LEDs are. Pity as great when working.

Can this record or what do you need for this to record

It does not record, it is a light, not a camera.

is it bright. will it light up area of my garden 15 ft away

although it is a nice motion sensor solar light ,dont expect it to be as bright as the day light !! the LED, light up when it goes dark and the when motion is detected they light up even more and do illuminate a large area of my garden , enough to see clearly when dark.... yes worth the money for me 😀
