Perfect to keep an eye on your moggie's whereabouts
bought for my 4 cats to keep track of them following one having an accident. Have been using since October and I must say they are very good and easy to use. easy to find when your cat loses it too. 1st night one one of them turned up without their collar on so I had to locate it. easily found using the GPS and the alert sound as it was pitch black. the cats took a bit of time to get use to it as they have never worn collars, and I take them off when they get back in. they now know that when their collar comes out they are being unleashed to the world and are happy to wear it. would highly recommend. you have to pay a fee plan for usage, however this is reasonably priced in my opinion for the peace of mind of knowing where your pets are.

Great for tracking your cat; Works just fine; Could have improvements;
I was looking for a GPS collar for my cat a while ago, and after a brief research, weenect cats seemed to be the best in terms of price/performance. I didn't want something too expensive and I also wanted something with a good tracking device and of course, it needed to ship to Portugal, which was the case, so Weenect seemed the perfect option for me.I was hesitant in purchasing such product because my cat it's a champion in losing collars. So I thought, my cat will lose the collar undoubtedly, so I need a product with enough battery life + good tracking device for me to find it when it happens.So after reading the reviews on Amazon, which were in most cases 5+ starts, I decided to purchase the tracker.After just a couple of days, the device arrives in perfect shape. The package was new, it had everything they said it would have: the tracker; silicone cover, charger and instructions manual. The latter is very poor, it's more like an introduction manual rather than an instruction one. I found myself too many times searching for the various functionalities of the tracker on their website.Before I placed the tracker on my cat, I went out with it, in live mode, for testing (after paying the monthly fee of course)The tracker worked with a high precision and I drained the battery so my cat could use it once he wanted out.LOSING THE TRACKER AND MY EXPERIENCE:The cat goes out with the collar, and it seems to work fine. No need to constantly receiving its position, so I use "intelligent" mode instead (more battery saving). My fear became true: cat comes home within two days without the tracker. I had its location on the phone, contacted the services (which were really fast and helpful on the response) they suggested using the "ring" feature to find the tracker - another thing they don't teach you on the manual - I used the ringtone but I couldn't listen to the tracker. I thought I lost it for good. Until hours later a neighbor comes by and bring us the tracker. I was REALLY happy that I had the tracker back, but I needed to fix the issue. First, I got a better collar, completely elastic one, so i could tighten it up to the limit and it would still break loose in case my cat got stuck. The other problem was the ringtone. I tried it at home without the silicone and I could hear it just fine, so I decided to place the sound columns on the non-covered part of the silicone (see picture) and I SUGGEST doing it. --- Problem that might occur: the GPS is not waterproof, the silicone makes it water-resistant, so if it catches water on the columns it's pretty much dead. However, my cat's been out in heavy rain and it works just fine. The cat lost the collar a couple more times, but I could hear the tracker perfectly. It was easy to find. Only trouble was asking permission to the neighbors to get the collar on their garden.BATTERY LIFE:The battery life is good. I don't understand why most users say it's bad and short. If you use it in live mode all the time you will have a short live battery, that's normal, but that's not necessary. The "intelligent" mode will send you in a period of 1 minute if the cat is on the move, or 5 if the cat is stationary. It can last up to 5 days. Yet again my cat doesn't stay out much, and I always turn it off when he's at home (i do use sleep mode if I see he's spending the night out, or the battery is at its 30%; I need to have battery if the cat loses the collar.)PRECISION:The precision of the GPS is fine BUT can have errors if it's close to a high building. Sometimes it sends a position far away and can be troublesome if you live in an area with a lot of buildings (see picture for example). It's not my case, I only have buildings on the street I live. Besides that, the precision is really accurate, but I can have problems locating GPS signal when the weather is really bad (although it's probably the cat it's just hidden somewhere --- inside buildings or with a coverage it doesn't work).WEIGHT:My cat's a large male cat ~ 6-7 KG, and the weight of the device doesn't seem to bother. The silicone however sometimes pulls the fur, and he hates it.EXPERIENCE WITH SERVICE SUPPORT:They answer really fast and are very helpful. I had no troubles with them.FINAL::So after the review, I rate it a 4 out of 5. The application could have some improvements; the device could have Bluetooth for locating it when the cat loses it; it could be waterproof and the instructions manual really needs some major update.Other than that I highly suggest purchasing this product.I use it for 3 months now.

All in all a good product if your cat wonders! Battery life is 1 day not 3.
Works great most of the time. Signal isn’t great in Oxford which is surprising but still works. If your cat wonders into a building it loses signal. Battery says 3 days but it lasts 24 hours, no matter what mode you put it in. Compass works really well, and the tracking is great to. Also ringing or vibrating to find them in a bush is great. Hence to photo, where we found him in a laundry room! App needs to be as good as the internet version.

Not a good start...
Received today, but it appears that the Weenect servers have been down for 4 days, which we had no idea about. No communication from the manufacturer, and Amazon said they didn't know about it.Haven't even been able to activate the device yet, so currently we've got an expensive ornament sitting on the coffee table. Hoping the servers go back up soon, else we'll have to try another brand. Very disappointing.Update: Once the servers came up - apparently it was a fault caused by the French internet, which was only communicated to me because I went on Twitter and spoke to other customers - we tried this out. Activating the device was fairly simple, but it did not come fully charged.We put it on our cat, and tracked her throughout the day. So far, so good. We keep our cats in at night, so we took the device off and left it to charge. I checked the app in the morning, and it showed that the device had been all over our street, despite it sitting on the coffee table, and the cat asleep upstairs all night. Strange.Since our cat has had it on for a few days, her behaviour has changed. She's noticeably more tired and docile. We took it off her this afternoon, and she's back to her normal self. Another strange thing.All in, I think we'll be returning this. Unreliable data and service, awful customer service, and it also seems to be affecting our cat. I wouldn't bother with this.
